تهدف الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على أهم التداعيات لأزمة فيروس كورونا على أداء الاقتصاد العالمي، وأثرها على مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية العالمية منذ بدء الأزمة في العام ٢٠١٩، ورصدت أهم التنبؤات الاقتصادية الصادرة من المؤسسات الدولية، وأوضحت كيف أثرت هذه أزمة على المؤشرات الاقتصادية العالمية، وتعرض هذه الدراسة أيضاً استجابة الدول حول العالم لمواجهة الأزمة وذلك في إطار الحيلولة دون وقوع الاقتصاد العالمي لجأت الدول لتبني عدة حزم لدعم القطاعات الاقتصادية لمنع الدخول في حالة من الركود الاقتصادي ولتخفيف تداعيات انتشار الفيروس عالمياً. تشير الدراسة إلى أهمية دور مؤسسات ضمان الودائع في مواجهة الأزمة على اعتبارها ركن أساسي في شبكة الأمان المالي في الدول وركيزة أساسية لطمأنة جمهور المودعين على أموالهم، كما أوضحت الدراسة أهم قنوات التأثير على أداء عمل مؤسسات ضمان الودائع، وكيفية استجابة مؤسسات ضمان الودائع حول العالم لمواجهة أزمة فيروس كورونا.
The study is focus on the most important repercussions of the Corona virus crisis on the global economy performance, and its impact on various global economic sectors since the beginning of the crisis in 2019. The study determine on the economic forecasts issued by international institutions, and explained how this crisis affected the global economic indicators. Also shows the response of countries around the world to face the crisis to avoid the recession. As a result, countries resorted to adopting several financial packages to support the economic sectors and to mitigate the repercussions of the global spread of the virus. The study indicates the importance of the role of Deposit Insurance Corporations in facing the crisis as it is a cornerstone of the financial safety net in the countries and an essential pillar for reassuring the depositors’ audience on their money. The study also showed the most important channels for influencing the performance of Deposit Insurance Corporations, and how they respond to confront Corona Virus Crisis.
