رمت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد ماهية التعليم الديني بعد الجدل الذي دار حول تعريفه وإبراز دور التعليم الديني في حفظ هوية الأمة وثقافتها من الذوبان والتلاشي. وبينت الدراسة أهمية التعليم الديني وحاجة المجتمعات إليه بما في ذلك المجتمعات الغربية وغيرها وأثر غياب الدين على الحياة الاجتماعية وذلك بظهور الفكر المادي، والفكر المتطرف والفكر الخرافي. ولطبيعة هذه الدراسة اتبع الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في جمع البيانات. وقد وضحت الدراسة التحديات والمعوقات التي تواجه التعليم الديني وتحول دون تطوره وانتشاره، ولتذليل تلك التحديات والمعيقات اقترحت الدراسة رؤى جديدة وتوصيات عديدة منها: 1.ضرورة وجود إدارة متحمسة لإصلاح التعليم الديني لتوفر له الإمكانات المادية والبشرية. 2.أهمية القيادة التربوية التأصيلية داخل المؤسسات التعليمية. 3.أن يسهم الإعلام المرئي والمسموع والمقروء في توعية الأمة لتحفيز أبناءها لسد هذه الثغرة. 4. إقامة المنهاج الشامل المتكامل الذي يحقق جميع جوانب النمو، الروحي والجسدي، والعاطفي، والعقلي...
This study aims to specify the identily of religious education after the definition. The study also aims at identifying the role of religious education in preserving the nation’s identify and its culture. The study has shown the importance of religious education and the need of different communities for it. The study has also highlighted the influence of the absence of religion social life which may result in the appearance of materialism, extremis and superstitious thinking. In conformity with the nature of this research, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical method to collect and process the data. The research made clear the challenges and obstacles that encountered the religious education and prevented its advancement. To overcome these difficulties the research suggested the following recommendations: 1. The importance of the existence of enthusiastic management to reform the religious education and to provide it with the proper material and human capabilities. 2. The importance of the existence of the leadership that care for authentication of religious education inside the educational establishments. 3. The information media should contribute to make the nation a uwar and to stimulate its people to bridge this gap. 4. The establishment of integrated comprehensive curriculum to a chive the objective of achieving the aim of realizing the perfect development of the character as concerning spiritual, physical, emotional and mental aspects of the human characor.
