هدف البحث إلى معرفة مستوى الضغوط النفسية وسط أمهات الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة الذهنية المترددات على مستشفى السلاح الطبي، والتحقق مما إذا كانت هناك فروق بين أبعاد هذه الضغوط. استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي، وبلع حجم العينة (30) فردا تم اختيارهم بالطريقة القصدية، استخدم الباحثان مقياس الضغوط النفسية من تصميمهما، من ثم تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام برنامج الحزم الإحصائية في العلوم الاجتماعية (SPSS)، وتوصلت الباحثة إلى النتائج أهمها أن الضغوط النفسية لأمهات الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة العقلية تتسم بالانخفاض، وأن هناك فروق بين أبعاد الضغوط النفسية لأمهات الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة العقلية لصالح بعد الأعراض العضوية، وأن الفروق في مستوى الضغوط النفسية لأمهات الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة العقلية وجدت أنها تكون تبعا لمتغيري درجة الإعاقة والحالة الاقتصادية ولم توجد فروق تبعا لمتغير تعليم الأم. وبناءا عليه قامت الباحثة بوضع عدد من التوصيات والمقترحات. أهمها إيلاء إرشاد اسر ذوي الإعاقات الذهنية مزيد من الاهتمام وإجراء مزيد من البحوث حول الانعكاسات النفسية للإعاقات الذهنية على ومقدمي الرعاية لهم.
This research aims at identifying the level of psychological stresses among the client mothers of the intellectually disabled children in the medical arm forces hospital, and to see whether there are differences according to the dimensions of these stresses. The researchers used the descriptive method and the sample size was (30) subjects chosen deliberately. The researchers used the scale of psychological stresses which she designed. Then the SPSS statistical program was used and the researcher found results, important of which are that the psychological stresses are low among the mothers of the intellectually disabled children, and that there are significant differences between the dimensions of the psychological stresses in favor of the dimension of organic symptoms. And that the differences in the level of psychological stresses are found to be according to due to the severity of the disability and the economic state, and differences are not found according to the level of the mothers' education. On the basis of these the researcher developed a number of recommendation s and suggestions. Important of which is that more attention should be given to counseling for the families of children with intellectual disabilities , and that more research must be conducted about the negative effects of children with intellectual disabilities on their caregivers.
