إن من أهم التحديات التي تواجه تطوير الواقع التربوي المشكلات التي تواجه المعلمين بمراحل التعليم المختلفة. وعلى الرغم من أن مهنة التعليم قد وصفت بأنها "أم المهن"، إلا أنها من أكثر المهن التي تزخر بالمشكلات وتسبب توترا نفسيا لصاحبها. وقد أجريت العديد من الدراسات التي تناولت المشكلات التي تعد من المصادر الرئيسة للتوتر الاجتماعي والنفسي للمعلمين. وأظهرت تلك الدراسات أن أهم تلك المشكلات تتمثل فيما يلي: ضغط العمل والحاجة إلى التقدير المهني، تدني النظرة الاجتماعية للمعلمين ومهنتهم وصعوبة ظروف العمل. إن التحديات التي تواجه التربية كثيرة وصعبة، ويتحمل المعلم العبء الأكبر في هذا كله. فهو الذي يتحمل عبء تعليم الناشئة وتوجيههم أكثر من أي مشارك آخر في العملية التعليمية. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على الوضع الاجتماعي للمعلم في السودان، وأثر ذلك في مهنة التعليم، وذلك في إطار دراسة شاملة تتناول أسباب عزوف الطلاب من ذوي القدرات والاستعدادات الممتازة من حملة الشهادة الثانوية عن التقديم لكليات التربية ليلتحقوا بعد تخرجهم بالتدريس في التعليم العام. وتحاول هذه الدراسة الإجابة عن السؤال الرئيس التالي: إلى أي مدى يؤثر الوضع الاجتماعي للمعلم في مهنة التعليم؟ تكمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في أنها تحاول تشخيص أهم العوامل والمشكلات التي تؤدي إلى ضعف تقدير المجتمع للدور الذي يقوم به المعلم في التعليم العام وأثر ذلك في أدائه لمهام مهنته. إن هذه الدراسة نظرية تحليلية تقوم على جمع المعلومات من خلال الأدب التربوي المتعلق بالموضوع، وتحليل آراء وأفكار الخبراء والمفكرين والباحثين التربويين حول الموضوع، ومن ثم تصنيف تلك المعلومات وتحليلها والخروج منها بإجابات عن أسئلة الدراسة. وقد تبين من نتائج الدارسة أن المعلمين كثيرا ما يواجهون مشكلات تقلل من انتمائهم لمهنتهم ورضاهم عنها، وتزيد من إحساسهم أن الجهد الذي يبذلونه لا يتناسب مع ما يقدم إليهم، ولا يوفر لهم التقدير الاجتماعي الذي يستحقونه، وهذا يؤدي بدوره إلى عزوف واضح عن مهنة التعليم. خلصت الدراسة إلى تقديم مجموعة من الأفكار للحد من المشكلة، وذلك من خلال تطوير نظم الإعداد بكليات التربية وزيادة التدقيق في تمهين التعليم وفرز الملتحقين بالمهنة عبر إعداد بنية جديدة للمهنة تقوم على إعداد متطور ومعايير عالية للممارسة المهنية للمعلمين.
Problems that face teachers are the main challenges that face developing educational reality. Although the profession of teaching is considered as the "mother of professions" , however it is the most,profession replete with problems and causes psychological strains Many studies dealt with the problems that are considered to be principal resources of social and psychological strains for teachers These studies showed that the main problems are job pressures, the need for the professional appreciation , the decline of social look,towards teachers and teaching and difficulties of work conditions The challenges that face education process nowadays are numerous.and difficult to solve. This study aims to shed light on the social situation of teachers in the Sudan and the effect of such situation on their profession. This study comes in the context of a comprehensive study dealing with the reasons leading the students to refrain from submitting to the faculties of education. This study tries to give an answer for the main following question : To what extent does the social situation of teacher affect the teaching profession? The significance of this study is that it tries to diagnose the main factors and problems which lead to declining society appreciation for the role of teachers in general education and its effect on the , perfomance of teachers. This study is a theoretical and analytical study based on data collected through reviewing a lot of literature related to the topic. It tries to analyze the ideas of experts , thinkers , and educational .researchers , so as to come up with answers for the study question. The study is concluded with some suggestions and recommendations to limit the factors that decline society appreciation for the role of teachers. One of these suggestions is the improvement of the systems of qualifying and training students/teachers at the faculties of education. Another recommendation in this respect is the idea of profesionalization of teaching through construction of a new formula for profession of teaching based on highly developed qualifications, standards for the perfomance of teachers , and securing good conditions for job as part of the solutoin that should solve the roots of the problems .instead of dealing only with symptoms of these problems.
