أثار التيار النسوي العديد من الشبهات حول العقيدة الإسلامية: من الإيمان بالله، وكتبه، واليوم الآخر، والقدر خيره وشره، وشكك في مصادر الإسلام، وكان من ضمن العقائد التي تناولها التيار عقيدة الإيمان بالرسل، على اعتبار أن مقام النبوة لم يكن حصرا على الرجال، كما يزعم أن هاجر عليها السلام زوجة إبراهيم عليه السلام كانت نبية، ويسوق الحجج لإثبات هذه الدعوى. كما يرفض هذا التيار التسليم بكون نبي الله آدم عليه السلام هو أبو البشر، وأول الخلق، ويفسر (آدم) بأنه الإنسان الأول بغض النظر عن ذكورته أو أنوثته. كما ينكر هذا التيار قصة الخلق الأولى الواردة في القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية، من أن الله خلق آدم، ثم خلق من ضلعه حواء، ويزعم أن الأحاديث الواردة في ذلك شكلت النظرة الدونية للمرأة عند المسلمين، وعليه فيجب إنكارها وردها. كما تعرض هذا التيار لجناب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالتشكيك في تبليغه للرسالة، وتقديمه آراء الصحابة على شرع الله، ووصفه بالأوصاف القاذعة، وما لا يليق بجلالة قدره صلى الله عليه وسلم.
