|b This research paper investigated the problem of social and national integration in the Sudanese identity, and its correlation with educational policy of the state. To put the research problem into effect, the research provided the following substantial evidence as to prove the research problem: 1. The long lasting civil war that accompanied the Sudanese state since independence in 1956. 2. The constant civil conflicts between the different ethnic groups and the lack of political stability. The research subject has been put forward throughout an introduction, in which the significance and standards of social and national integration in the Sudanese identity has been deeply investigated. The research also aimed primarily to determine the research problem and the significance and objectives of the same, in addition to the inquires raised by the research paper and the procedures and tools by which the research methodology has been effected. The research, on the other hand, set a conceptual framework in which the both concepts of social and national integration and identity have been discussed exhaustively, and theoretical frame work covering Marx dialectic and functional dimension in order to reach working definitions thereof. The research dealt as well, with some samples of coincided experiences in the treatment of the subject of social and national integration in the Sudanese identity. In the same context, the research sought to define the determiners of the Sudanese identity. To effect the field study, the research questions have been answered and the research findings have been duly interpreted, and a set of recommendations based on the research findings has been raised. Research Findings: 1. Based on said account, the research has reached specific working definitions for the concepts of social integration and identity. 2. The concept of national integration in the Sudan has not been sufficiently crystallized since independence. 3. The experience of the Sudanese elites did not yield such secured strategies as to deal with the problem of national integration. 4. The research findings have ensured the significance of the independent personality of the individual in order to assume an effective position within the community. 5. Social identity is highly significant, since it provides the opportunity for the individual to identify his personality within the social organization. 6. The most important problem of the educational policy are: 1. The research findings, on the other hand, have shown that the educational policy lacks the ability to strike a balance between the culturally and linguistically and religiously diversified population groups. 2. Educational policy depends largely upon a national unified curriculum which does not provide an opportunity to reflect other diversified social and cultural environments. 3. History textbook in the Sudanese curriculums does not reserve the historical rights of the various population groups. Research Recommendations: .1 The research recommended the acceleration and performance of the sustainable development program to increase the opportunities of education and services in particular, and social development in general, and to work diligently to remove any differences between the Sudanese areas and groups in order to effect the acceleration of the national integration in the Sudan. 2. The research recommended promoting the Sudanese curriculums and making insight planning to effect the same, taking into account the requirements of the population structure and the socially and culturally diversified environments, in order to enhance the Sudanese identity and develop the tolerant and united Sudanese conscience. 3. The research recommended that the Sudanese curriculums should be established to address the historical precipitations and bitterness, throughout a balanced reflection of the various components of the Sudanese state, culturally, linguistically, ethnically and religiously. 4. The research recommended the national mass media programs to pay a particular attention to the issue of national identity and the necessity of raising full public awareness in the significance and motivations of the national social integration.
