سار الإمام البخاري على منهج السلف الصالح في التمسك بالكتاب والسنة، وسلك في ذلك مسلك أئمة الهدى، بل هو من جهابذة أئمة السلف ممن برع في تقرير مسائل الاعتقاد والرد على المخالفين. ومن خلال تراجم الإمام البخاري واستدلالاته ظهرت آراؤه وأقواله، في كتاب الطب فغدا مصنفه الصحيح جامعا لأغلب آرائه العقدية والفقهية وغيرها من المسائل. وأن الإمام البخاري برع في تبويباته في الصحيح، وظهر فيها فقهه وذكاؤه وسعة علمه، وتنوعت تبويباته في كتاب الطب للدلالة على المسائل، فمنها ما هو ظاهر بين في الدلالة على المسألة، ومنها ما هو خفي يحتاج إلى نظر وتأمل لظهور المراد. وعدم التعارض بين التوكل والقدر وبين بذل الأسباب من الدعاء ونحوه. ووجوب العمل بالأسباب، وأن ذلك لا يخالف القدر، ولا يناقض التوكل، وإثبات المسائل الغيبية التي جاءت عن طريق الوحي. وإباحة الكي عند الحاجة، وتركه أفضل عند عدم الحاجة إليه. ونفي اعتقاد أهل الجاهلية في العدوي والتشاؤم. ويري الإمام البخاري رحمة الله ذم التشاؤم، وأن العدوي لا تعدي بذاتها، وإنما هي مأمورة بأمر الله.
Imam Al-Bukhari followed the approach of the righteous predecessors in adhering to the Qur’an and Sunnah, and he followed the path of the imams of guidance in that. Rather, he was among the scholars of the predecessors who excelled in deciding matters of belief and responding to the violators. Through Imam Al-Bukhari's translations and evidences, his views and sayings appeared in the Book of Medicine, so his correct work became a compilation of most of his doctrinal and jurisprudential views and other issues. And that Imam Al-Bukhari excelled in his chapters in al-Sahih. Some of them are apparent and clear in indicating the issue, and some are hidden that need consideration and contemplation for the emergence of the desired. And there is no contradiction between trust and destiny and the exertion of reasons from supplication and the like. And the necessity to act with the reasons, and that this does not contradict fate, and does not contradict trust, and prove the unseen issues that came through revelation. Ironing is permitted when needed, and better left when it is not needed. He denied the belief of the people of ignorance in contagion and pessimism. Imam Al-Bukhari, may God have mercy on him, believes that pessimism is disparaged, and that infection does not infect itself, rather it is commanded by God’s command.
