تعتبر الغابات إحدى أهم مكونات الملك الغابوي وعنصر فعال في المحافظة على البيئة، كما أنها تلعب دورا هاما في الحد من التغيرات المناخية ومن انتشار ظاهرة الاحتباس الحراري، إلا أنها وفي جميع أنحاء العالم يهددها خطر الزوال بفعل احتياجات الإنسان المتزايدة وتوسيع الزراعة، وسوء استعمال الغابات بيئيا، ذلك أن القطع العشوائي للأشجار والرعي غير المنظم وغياب تدابير مكافحة الصيد غير المرخص والنقص من مكافحة حرائق الغابات كلها أسباب أدت إلى فقدان التنوع البيولوجي، مما نتج عنه الإضرار بموائل الكائنات البرية. والظاهر أن الارتباط الوثيق بين المجال الغابوي والمجال البيئي والتداخل الحصل بينهما والتفاعل الدائم بين عناصرهما يبرز بشكل واضح حتى على المستوى التشريعي، إذ غالبا ما يتم التنصيص على ضرورة حماية المجالات الغابوية في إطار حماية البيئة وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة، على اعتبار أن أي مساس بهذا الملك يلحق بالتبعية أضرارا بالبيئة. وبالرغم من أن المشرع المغربي قد أقر عقوبات صارمة عن كل استغلال يضر بالمجال الغابوي، إلا أن هذا لم يمنع من تزايد وتفاقم مظاهر الاستغلال العشوائي للمجال الغابوي والتي تتجلى أبرزها في القطع العشوائي للأشجار من طرف السكان المجاورين للغابة تلبية لاحتياجاتهم اليومية، مما يؤثر سلبا على المنظومة البيئية.
Forests are one of the most important elements of the forest property and effective component in the conversation of the environment, as it has an important role in reducing climate change and global warming. Unfortunately, it is threatened by the danger of disappearing, all over the world, due to the increasing human needs, the expansion of agriculture and the misuse of forests environmentally. The illegal logging of trees, the overgrazing, the absence of measures to ceas unlicensed fishing and forest fires lead to a loss of biodiversity which causes damage upon wild creatures. It seems that the close link between the forest area and the environmental field and the overlap between them and the constant interaction between their elements is clearly highlighted even at the legislative level, as it is often stipulated that the protection of forest areas has a huge part in protecting the environment and achieving sustainable development, considering that any infringement of this property will undoubtedly cause damage to the environment. Although the Moroccan legislature has approved sever penalties for any exploitation that harms the forest area, this has not prevented the rate of the illegal exploitation of the forest area to increase most notably through random cutting of trees by people living near the forest in order to meet their daily needs, which negatively affects the ecosystem.
