المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحث تحليلا لمقالة "المصريون والعقل الجمعي" للكاتبة أماني فؤاد، من ناحية توظيف الأسلوب الاستعاري في مقال سياسي موجه لزيادة وعي القراء في مسألة توريث الحكم على مدار التاريخ. وقد احتوت الدراسة على إحصاء للمفردات الاستعارية التي استعملتها الكاتبة في هذه المقالة مع إبراز النطاقات المصدرية التي يظن الباحث أن الكاتبة استقت منها مفردات استعاراتها. كما تم تذييل هذا الإحصاء بتحليل للسبب الذي أدى، في زعمنا، إلى اختيار نطاقات إدراكية معينة دون غيرها، لوصف فكرة أو مبدأ تناولته الكاتبة بالشرح أو التحذير. مع إبراز أهمية اختيار ذلك النطاق تحديدا دون غيره في توجيه القارئ نحو تكوين انطباع معين من جهة، وفي الكشف عن وجهة النظر أو الانطباع المتكون لدى الكاتبة من جهة أخرى وإن لم تكن وجهة النظر هذه معلنة. ويحاول البحث تطبيق الخطوات التالية على المقال1: -تحديد الاستعارات الواردة في المقال ثم تصنيفها وفق كلمات مفتاحية استعارية، مع قياس درجة التواجد الكمي لهذه الكلمات. ثم فحص سياقات ورود الكلمات المفتاحية السابقة للتميز بين الاستعمال الحقيقي والاستعمال الاستعاري. -تفسير الاستعارات واستخلاص استعارات مفاهيمية من هذه الاستعارات، عن طريق الاهتمام بالمعنى القائم بين الأفراد، للتعرف على نوعية العلاقات الاجتماعية التي وجدت بين الأفراد. -شرح الاستعارات واستعمال النتائج في اقتراح أنماط للفهم أو الفكر تشكل معتقدات وتصرفات الأفراد أو تقيدها. وذلك للإجابة عن الأسئلة التالية: -هل يخلو الخطاب الجاد من الاستعارة؟ -هل الاستعارة حلية وزينة كلامية فقط؟ -هل يقصد الكاتب اختيار استعارات معينة للتأثير في وجهة نظر المتلقي؟ -هل يعكس اختيار الاستعارة جوانب خفية من شخصية الكاتب وفكره؟

This research deals with an analysis of the article "Egyptians and the Collective Mind" by Amani Fouad, in terms of using the metaphor method in a political article aimed at increasing readers' awareness of the issue of dynastic succession throughout history. The study contained a census of the metaphor vocabulary used by the author in this article, highlighting the source ranges from which the researcher believes that the author derived her metaphors. This statistic has also been appended with an analysis of the reason that, in our claim, has led to the selection of certain cognitive ranges only to describe an idea or principle addressed by the author by explanation or warning. We also highlighted the importance of choosing that specific scope only in directing the reader towards creating a certain impression on the one hand and in revealing the author's point of view or impression on the other, even if this point of view is not stated. The search attempts to apply the following steps to the article: - Identify the metaphors contained in the article and then classify them according to metaphor keywords while measuring the degree of quantitative presence of these words. Then examine the contexts of appearance of previous keywords to distinguish between real use and metaphor use. - Interpret metaphors and draw conceptual metaphors from these metaphors by paying attention to the meaning that exists among individuals to identify the quality of social relations that exist between individuals. - Explain metaphors and use results to suggest patterns of understanding or thought that constitute or restrict the beliefs and actions of individuals. This is in order to answer the following questions: Is serious speech devoid of metaphor? Is the metaphor only a word ornament? Does the writer intend to choose specific metaphors to influence the recipient's point of view? Does the choice of metaphor reflect subtle aspects of the writer's personality and thought?
