يهدف هذا البحث إلى اختبار أثر جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد على تنافسية صناعة المنسوجات والملابس المصرية، ومحاولة تطبيق نظرية بورتر في التنافسية على المنسوجات والملابس المصرية نظرا لما يمثله قطاع المنسوجات والملابس من أهمية في الاقتصاد المصري، حيث يعد واحدا من أكبر القطاعات إسهاما في التشغيل والإنتاج والتصدير، وقد تأثرت صناعة المنسوجات والملابس الجاهزة المصرية بأزمة كورونا بشكل سلبي بداية من تعطل سلاسل التوريدات العالمية مع اضطراب حركة الشحن الجوي والبحري والبري، كما تضررت الصناعة في ظل حالات الإغلاق التي شهدتها المصانع ومتاجر التجزئة هذا بالإضافة إلى إلغاء أو تأجيل العديد من الدول لطلبياتها من الموردين، واتجاه قطاع عريض من المستهلكين إلى شراء السلع الأساسية كالغذاء مع تأجيل فكرة شراء ملابس جديدة، خاصة في ضوء انخفاض معدلات الخروج من المنازل، ولذلك ظهرت الحاجة إلى تطبيق وإيجاد بعض الحلول العملية لتعزيز تنافسية صناعة المنسوجات والملابس المصرية والحد من أثار فيروس كورونا علي القطاع الصناعي بصفة عامة وصناعة المنسوجات والملابس بصفة خاصة.
This study aims to test the impact of Corona virus pandemic (COVID-19) on the competitiveness of the Egyptian textile and clothing industry, And trying to apply Porter's theory of competitiveness to Egyptian textiles and clothing due to the importance of the textile and clothing sector in the Egyptian economy, as it is one of the largest sectors that contribute to employment, production and export, The Egyptian textile and clothing industry has been negatively affected by the Corona crisis, starting from disruption of Global supply chains with the disruption of air, sea and land freight, The Egyptian textiles and clothing industry has also been negatively affected in light of the closures that have occurred in factories and stores. This is in addition to the cancellation or postponement of many countries' orders from suppliers, and the tendency of a large segment of consumers to buy basic commodities such as food, with the idea of buying new clothes being postponed, especially in light of the low rates of exit from homes, So there was a need to apply and find some practical solutions to enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian textile and clothing industry and limit the effects of the Corona virus on the industrial sector in general and the textile and clothing industry in particular.
