|a جرجا مدينة بالصعيد تقع بمحافظة سوهاج، وكانت من أشهر مدن الصعيد في الأزمان السابقة وخاصة في العصر العثماني، حيث أصبحت عاصمة الصعيد كله، وكان لحاكمها سلطات واسعة ووضع خاص، فهو مستقل في الأحكام والإدارة عن حكم مصر ويعين من قبل الباشا بقرار من دار السلطة، وعنده ديوان مخصوص للأحكام والإدارة وله سلطات واسعة حيث يعاقب بالسجن أو القتل، كما أقام حكامها في منازل وقصور أتصفت بالفخامة والاتساع، وكانت دورها من طبقتين أو ثلاث. وهذا الأثر أو البيت (وقد أطلقت عليه بيت كما أشتهر به وكما أطلق عليه أهل جرجا بيت السنجق) موضوع البحث هو مكان إقامة والخاص بالشهير إبراهيم أغا السنجق الشريف المشهور بالسنجق أمير جرجا ومن بعده ابنه الأمير عبد اللطيف وأل من بعده إلى ابنه محمد رضا بيك السنجق أمير ومدير جرجا، الذي تولى حكم مديرية جرجا عام ١٢٩٠ هجريا وترجع أهمية هذا البيت لكونه بيت الأمراء الذين تولوا حكم مديرية جرجا ويقع المنزل بالداووديه التي هي من أهم المناطق التجارية والأثرية بجرجا. ويمثل هذا لأثر عدة طرز معمارية سادت في القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي، الثالث عشر الهجري، وهذا الأثر والذي يمكن القول أن حالته جيدة لم يدرس أو ينشر من قبل ولم يسجل في هيئة الآثار على الرغم من أهميته، فكان حرصي شديد على توثيق ودراسة ونشر هذا البيت قبل اندثاره وضياعه نظرا لحرص أصحابه على هدمه والاستفادة من أرضه أو إعادة بنائه نظرا لأهمية هذه المنطقة تجاريا، كما أطالب هيئه الآثار أن تسجل وتنقذ هذا الأثر وكذلك لجنة الحفاظ على التراث وحصر المباني المعمارية ذات الطراز المتميزان تقوم بحصره الهام قبل فوات الأوان.

|b Gerga is a city located in Sohag governate. It was one of the most famous cities in Upper Egypt in previous times, especially in the Ottoman period. It became the capital of Upper Egypt. Its ruler had extensive authorities and special position. He was independent in the judgment and administration of the ruler of Egypt and was appointed by the pasha by the decision of the house of authority. He had a special court for judgments and administration and had extensive authorities as he punish by prison or killing. Its ruler also stayed in luxurious and spacious palaces that were formed of 2 or 3 floors. This architecture or house was famous between people of Gerga as house of Sanjak. The subject of research is the place of residence of the famous Ibrahim Agha Elsanjak Elshereef who was known by Elsanjak prince of Gerga, his son prince Abdellateef, and his grandson Mohammed Reda pec elsanjak; prince and director of Gerga who took over the governate of Gerga at year 1290. The importance of this house is due to the fact that it was the house of prince, who took over the governate of Gerga. The house locates in Dawawya which is one of the most important commercial and archaeological areas of Gerga. This monument represents several architectural styles that prevailed in 19th century after birth, 13th century Hegira. This architecture, which can be said has good condition hasn't studied, published or registered in Archeological Authority although of its importance. I was keen to document, study, and publish this house before extinction due to desire of his owners to demolish it and take advantage of its land and rebuild it due to the commercial importance of this area. I also ask the Archeological Authority to register and save this monument as well as Heritage preservation committee to confine the architectural building of distinctive style before it's too late.
