المستخلص: International protection of children in employment has reacted to the widespread phenomenon of child exploitation. This has required confronting them gradually with the adoption of conventions to develop standards that control the various areas of work and their performance conditions in order to prevent risks from the children, whether by setting a minimum age (limit) for employment, adjusting working conditions to protect the child's physical, mental, and moral health, or by preventing dangerous and forbidden work, or a categorical prohibition of the worst forms of child labor. Each course of developing and activating these standards revolves around the principle of protection as a fundamental basis for that confrontation with its universalization.

تفاعلت الحماية الدولية للطفل في مجال العمل مع انتشار ظاهرة استغلال الأطفال. مما اقتضى مواجهتها تدريجيا باعتماد اتفاقيات لوضع معايير تضبط مختلف مجالات العمل وظروف أدائها لدرء المخاطر عنهم، سواء بوضع سن أدنى للتشغيل، أو بضبط ظروف العمل حماية لصحة الطفل البدنية والعقلية والخلقية، أو بمنع الأعمال الخطيرة والممنوع تكليفه بها، أو كذلك بحظر قطعي لأسوء أشكال عمل الأطفال. وتمحور كل مسار وضع وتفعيل هذه المعايير حول مبدأ الحماية كأساس جوهري لتلك المواجهة مع إضفاء الطابع العالمي عليه.

L’interaction de la protection internationale de l’enfant dans le domaine du travail avec l’expansion du phénomène de leur exploitation des enfants a induit à la nécessité d’y faire front progressivement. D’où l’adoption de conventions qui établissent des normes pour réguler les divers domaines du travail et les conditions de leur exécution afin de rebuter les risques qu’encourent les enfants. Parmi ces normes citons essentiellement:- l’âge minimum d’emploi et -la réglementation des conditions de travail, dont - l’interdiction des travaux dangereux afin de préserver la santé physique, mentale et morale de l’enfant, ainsi que l’interdiction absolue des pires formes de travail des enfants au vue de leur abolition. Le processus de mise en place et de mise en oeuvrede ces normes était pleinement axé autour du principe de la protection, tout en lui conférant l’universalité, comme fondement substantiel.
