المستخلص: تتناول ورقتي البحثية الموسومة بعنوان "يوسف بن سبكتكين حياته وأعماله"، أحد الشخصيات التاريخية المهمة في تاريخ الدولة الغزنوية، وأحد أبطالها الأفذاذ، وهو الأمير يوسف بن سبكتكين، وكنيته أبو يعقوب، ولقبه عضد الدولة وأمين الملة. ولد الأمير يوسف في غزنه سنة 384 هـ /٩٩٤م، وتوفي والده وهو الثالثة من عمره سنة ٣٨٧ه / ٩٩٧م، فتكفل أخوه السلطان محمود الغزنوي بتربيته تنفيذا لوصية أبيه، ولما صار الأمير يوسف شابا يافعا قربه أخوه محمود إليه وجعله نديمه الخاص، وكان يجالسه في البلاط لفترات طويلة، وقد اتصف بالأخلاق الكريمة، إلا شرب الخمر آفة المجتمع حينئذ، وكان يحضر مجالس الشراب التي يعقدها أخوه السلطان محمود. وعن حياته العائلية، تزوج الأمير يوسف عدة زيجات، كانت إحداها من ابنة الوزير أحمد بن حسن الميمندي، وكان له ولدان يعقوب وسلمان، وبنتان تم خطبتهما لابني عمهما محمود، الأميرين: مسعود ومحمد. اعتلي الأمير يوسف المناصب العليا في الدولة، كمنصب السبهسالارية (قيادة الجيش) في عهد أخيه السلطان محمود سنة ٤١٢ هـ /١٠٢١م، وبقي في هذا المنصب عشر سنوات حتى عزله ابن أخيه السلطان مسعود سنة ٤٢٢ هـ /١٠٣١م لغضبه عليه، وأرسله إلي ولاية قصدار بحجة تمرد حاكمها وامتناعه عن دفع الضرائب المقررة، لكن في الواقع كان هذا نفيا بعيدا عن مجري الأحداث في العاصمة غزنة، حيث كان يقيم في قصدار كالمحدد إقامته، وجعل حاجبه طغرل جاسوسا يعد عليه أنفاسه وينقل أخباره، فعندما نقل طغرل للسلطان نية الأمير يوسف في التوجه إلي تركستان للاستقواء بالخانيين ضده، أمر السلطان مسعود بالقبض عليه والمجيء به إلي غزنه، وسجنه في إحدى قلاعها سنة ٤٢٢هـ /١٠٣١م، وقضي نحبه بعد عام من محبسه سنة ٤٢٣هـ /١٠٣٢م.

My enlarged research paper which entitled" Youssef ibn Sabaktakin" manipulates part of his life and his inspiring and historical works in the history of the 'Ghaznawi nation" who was one of its bravest heroes. The prince, "Youssef Ibn Sabaktakin" was titled as Abou Jacob, the boost of the nation and the honest of the sect's secrets.He was born in 384 of Al Hijra, 994 A.C. and his father died when he aged three in 387 of Al Hijra, 997 A.C. so his brother, Sultan , Mahmoud Al Ghaznawi , adopted him and took care of him according to his father's will. When he grew up and became a strong Youngman, his brother, Sultan Mahmoud befriended him and made him his close and loyal sitter. He spent a long time with him in the royal throne. The prince "Youssef Ibn Sabaktakin" was characterized with good morals except for wine drinking which was the society epidemic at that time .he used to attend the wine seminars which was held by his brother," Sultan Mahmoud ". Concerning his family life, the prince , "Youssef Ibn Sabaktakin" married several wives, one of them was the daughter of the minister , Ahmed Ibn Hassan al Mymarni. He had two sons, Jacob and Solyman and two daughters who was engaged to their uncle's sons , the prince Mahmoud. They were called , Masoud and Mohammed. The prince , "Youssef Ibn Sabaktakin" was at the head of the high positions such as " Al Sabahsaria " "the army leadership it the age of his brother Sultan Mahmoud in 413 of Al Hijra , 2021 A.C and stayed in that position for ten years till he was secluded by his brother's son , sultan Masoud in 422 of Al Hijra , 1031 A.C as he was furious with him and expelled him to the province of " Qasdar " with the excuse of its governor's rebellion and his abstention to pay the wanted taxis , but truly it was an exile to make him away of the current events in the capital, "Ghazna" since he was staying in" Qasdar" as a limited residence , so he made his usher " Toghrol" as aspy count his breaths and conveys his news .When " Toghrol" conveyed to the Sultan the prince. Yousef 's intention to go to "Turkmustan " and have the support of " Al khananese " anti him , he asked Sultan . Masoud to arrest or seize him and bring him to"Ghazna".He imprisoned him in one of its castles in 422 of al Hijira , 1031 A.C and died after a year of his imprisonment in 423 of Al Hijra , 1032 A.c
