المستخلص: This article aims to evaluate the entrepreneurial process in Algeria by taking an economic approach of the concept of entrepreneurship. Indeed, we rely on the GEM model to test the relationship between economic growth - measured by four variables namely GDP, the exchange rate of the local currency in dollars, the real interest rate, the exchange rate and the employment rate with entrepreneurship represented by the number of private SMEs in Algeria. We will then establish a comparative analysis of the different regions of Algeria in terms of relationship between entrepreneurship and economic growth.

Ce présent article a pour but d’évaluer le processus entrepreneurial en Algérie en s’inscrivant dans une approche économique du concept d’entrepreneuriat. En effet, nous nous basons sur le modèle GEM pour tester la relation entre la croissance économique- mesurée par quatre variables à savoir le PIB/habitant (en dollars constants,) le taux de change de la monnaie locale en dollars, le taux d’intérêt réel et le taux de chômage- avec l’entrepreneuriat représenté par le nombre de PME privées en Algérie. Nous établirons ensuite une analyse comparative des différentes régions d’Algérie en termes de relation entrepreneuriat-croissance économique
