المستخلص: This study is a pragmatic one. It studies medical leaflets by focusing on the major speech acts presented by Searle and their verbs used in the play, auxiliary verbs along with cooperative principle. The study aims at answering the questions: What is the most dominant speech act category used in medical leaflets? What micro speech act is used mostly in medical leaflets (warning, advising, promising …) What auxiliary speech act used mostly in medical leaflets? And What maxim is flouted more than the other maxims?
