يتناول البحث موضوع الخصائص السكانية لقضاء الحسينية والنواحي التابعة له للفترة من 2014-2017. الذي تم استحداثه مؤخرا. إذ كان ناحية تابعة إلى قضاء الأعظمية وبموجب قرار رقم 12 لسنة 2014 والمتضمن استحداث قضاء الحسينية وناحيتين تسمى الأولى (الزهور) والثانية (الشهيد الصدر)، واعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي والتحليلي والكمي برؤية جغرافية سكانية، إذا تناول البحث التوزيع العددي والنسبي للسكان حسب الوحدات الإدارية في القضاء، وكذلك التوزيع البيئي (حضر – ريف) بغية الكشف عن التباين المكاني والزماني والمحاولة العلمية الجادة لتحديد أفاق النمو السكاني وماله من أهمية في التخطيط التنموي المجتمعي، وبعد تطبيق معادلة النمو السكاني حسب الوحدات الإدارية. فقد كانت النتائج أن النمو السكاني في الريف يفوق النمو السكاني في الحضر وذلك بسبب الزيادة الطبيعية والهجرة الداخلية نتيجة الأوضاع الأمنية في المحافظات الغربية والشمالية ولرخص أثمان الأرض في القضاء أدى أن تكون المنطقة جذب سكاني بالنسبة للنازحين من المناطق المجاورة ومنها تم استنتاج بعض الملاحظات حول الخصائص السكانية عن القضاء وإدراج بعض التوصيات التي قد يكون لها أهمية في مجال التخطيط التنموي المجتمعي.
The research deals with the characteristics of the population of the Husayniyah district and its subdivisions for the period 2014-2017.
