|b This study attempts to present an interdiscursive analysis of the American Constitution (AC, henceforth) as one of the written documents that regulates people's lives in America after the war of independence in the 18th century. Interdiscursivity examine how and why the professional writers appropriate the generic resources of a genre to create another. The analysis aims to find out what do professional writers use to achieve their goals and it aims to find out the power relations. Accordingly, it is hypothesized that the interdiscursive analysis reveals that the professional writers exploit “genre-bending”, “genre mixing” to achieve their particular goals. AC is analyzed Interdiscursively according to Bhatia (2004) model of analysis. The results summarize the conclusions which the study reached out Among these conclusions is the interdiscursive analysis reveals that the professional writers exploit “genre bending”, “genre mixing” to achieve their particular goals. Discourse community writers exploit generic resources of a genre to create another genre. AC is an example of an embedded genre where the American's rights determining their future has been reinforced as self-determination is embedded in the main body of the constitution. So, the human rights genre is embedded in the constitution genre.
