|b The holy city of Najaf has emerged as one of the most famous Islamic civilized cities, and has gained its historical and religious significance over time from containing its riches the remains of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him).A large number of travelers traveled to the city from various European countries, according to their different directions . This study clarified the historical value of European travel books in terms of reliance on them to describe the Holy Al-Sharif in Najaf during the nineteenth century AD, and the extent of The interest of European travelers in describing what is inside the Noble Sanctuary and conveying a clear picture of it. The scientific value of the trips is that it contains a lot of information and reports A clear picture was depicted in the description of the holy upper shrine and its cupboards.
