المستخلص: يهدف هذا البحث إلى محاولة الكشف عن مدى استيعاب تعبيرات (سيبويه) عن الزمن دلالات أخرى لازمة غير مقصودة، ومعرفة هل تعبيرات (سيبويه) عن الزمن تصلح أن تستغرق كل الفروع الزمنية أم أنها قاصرة عن ذلك، إضافة إلى مدى الإفادة من رؤية (سيبويه) للزمن في اللغة العربية. وقد اتبعت في هذا البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، ثم قمت بتحليل هذا النص في ضوء موقف اللغويين القدامى والمحدثين من رأي (سيبويه)، وبيان مدى ثراء هذا النص، واتساعه ليشمل كل الفروع الزمنية للأزمنة الثلاثة. وقد توصل هذا البحث إلى عدة نتائج منها:- -أن تعبير (سيبويه) بقوله:"وأما الفعل فأمثلة أخذت من لفظ أحداث الأسماء..." فيه إشارة إلى الدلالة على أن الفعل مشتق من أسماء المعاني وهي (المصادر)، كما أن فيه إشارة إلى أن دلالة الفعل على (الحدث) دلالة تضمنية، بينما دلالته على (الزمن) دلالة وضعية. -أن معظم النحاة القدامى ربطوا دلالة الفعل على الومن بالصيغة الصرفية أما (سيبويه) فقد ربطها بالتراكيب، أي تأليف الجملة وسياقها، مما يعني أن دلالة الفعل على الزمن دلالة سياقية يفهم هذا من خلال تعبيراته. -أن زمن الفعل في اللغة العربية لا يتحدد بواسطة الصيغة الصرفية فقط، وإنما يتحدد زمن الفعل منسياق الجملة، وما تشتمل عليه الجملة من أدوات تعين على تحديد زمن الفعل. -أن الزمن عند (سيبويه) لا يقتصر على (الماضي، والحاضر، والمستقبل) بل يمتد إلى فروع زمنية أخرى، يقررها كل من: تركيب الجملة، ووجهة المتكلم.

This research aims to try to reveal the extent to which the (Sibawayh) expressions about time absorb other necessary unintended indications, and to know whether the (Sibawayh) expressions about time are suitable for all time branches or they are short of that, in addition to the extent of the benefit from the (Sibawayh) vision. Time in the Arabic language. In this research, I followed the descriptive analytical method, where I presented a Sibawayh text on time, then I analyzed this text in the light of the position of the ancient linguists and modernists from the opinion of (Sibawayh), and the extent of the richness of this text, and its breadth to include all the time branches of the three times. This research reached several results, including: - The expression (Sebawayh) by saying: “As for the verb, examples are taken from the term events of names…” It contains a reference to the indication that the verb is derived from the names of meanings which are (sources), and it also contains a reference to the verb indicating the verb (the event) as a sign Implicit, while its indication of (time) is a positive connotation. - Most of the ancient grammarians linked the significance of the verb to time with the morphological form, whereas (Sibawayh) linked it to the structures, i.e. the syntax of the sentence and its context, which means that the indication of the verb over time is a contextual indication that understands this through its expressions. - The time of the verb in the Arabic language is determined not only by the morphological form, but rather the time of the verb is determined by the context of the sentence, and what the sentence includes from the tools that help determine the time of the verb. - That the time at (Sibawayh) is not limited to (the past, the present, and the future), but extends to other time branches, which are decided by both: the syntax of the sentence, and the point of the speaker.
