المستخلص: تناول هذا البحث مفردة (الأجل) في القرآن الكريم، دراسة موضوعية دلالية، وذلك بجمع الآيات الوارد فيها مفردة "الأجل"، وتبويب موضوعاتها حسب المعنى، وتحليلها لاستنباط دلالاتها وفوائدها. وتأتي أهمية هذا البحث من كونه كاشفا عن دلالة مفردة قرآنية تعدد ورودها في القرآن بمعان مختلفة، مما يسهم في إكمال الدراسات الموضوعية الدلالية للقرآن الكريم. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى: بيان المعنى اللغوي والاصطلاحي لمفردة الأجل والعلاقة بينهما، وإبراز استعمالات مفردة الأجل في القرآن الكريم، وتعيين المراد بها، وذكر صفاتها والإضافة فيها ودلالات ذلك كله. وقد خلص البحث إلى نتائج من أبرزها: أن علاقة المعنى الاصطلاحي بالمعنى اللغوي للأجل علاقة الجزء بالكل، وأن دلالة التوسعة والإمهال حاضرة في جميع استعمالات لفظة الأجل في القرآن الكريم، وأن الأجل وصف في القرآن الكريم بالمفرد وبالجملة الإسمية، أن إضافة الأجل في القرآن الكريم إما أن تكون للاسم الظاهر - لفظ الجلالة (الله) تبارك وتعالى -، أو أن تكون إلى الضمير.

The aim of this research is to investigate the term “Ajal” in the Holy Qur’an, as an objective and semantic study, by collecting the verses contained in the word “Ajal”, classifying their topics according to their meaning, and analyzing them to derive their implications and benefits. The importance of this research stems from the fact that it reveals a Qur’anic vocabulary that is numerous and mentioned in the Qur’an with different meanings, thus contributing to the completion of objective studies of the Holy Qur’an. This research aims to: uncover the linguistic and idiomatic meaning of the term "Ajal" and the relationship between them, highlight single-term uses in the Holy Qur’an, define what is meant by it, and mention its attributes and additions to it and the implications of all of that. The research concluded on the results of the most prominent of them: that the relation of the idiomatic meaning to the linguistic meaning of the term is the relation of the part to the whole, and that the connotation of extension and delay is present in all uses of the term "Ajal" in the Holy Qur’an, and that the term is described in the Holy Qur’an in the singular and the nominal sentence, that the addition in the term in the Holy Qur’an, either it is for the apparent name - the word of majesty (Allah), may He be blessed and exalted - or it is to the pronoun.
