المستخلص: يهدف هذا المقال إلى وصف التحول الديموغرافي وعلاقته بالسياسات السكانية التي انتهجتها الجزائر، حيث تم التطرق إلى التحولات التي مست كل من معدلات المواليد والوفيات وأمل الحياة والنمو السكاني الذي شهدته الجزائر واهم المحددات التي أدت إلى هذا التحول في البنية السكانية، منها ما هو اقتصادي واجتماعي وثقافي وحتى السياسة التي انتهجتها الجزائر منذ تطبيق برنامج PNMCD سنة 1983 والتي ساهمت وبشكل كبير في التأثير على مسار النمو السكاني في الجزائر.

Cet article décrit les principales étapes de la transition démographique et ses liens avec les différentes politiques de population adoptées par l’Algérie lesquelles ont eu un impact sur les niveaux des phénomènes de la natalité, de la mortalité et l’espérance de vie. la croissance démographique en Algérie et les principaux facteurs qui ont conduit à cette transformation de la structure de la population, notamment les facteurs économiques, sociaux et culturels. Et même la politique menée par l'Algérie depuis la mise en oeuvre du programme national de maîtrise de la croissance démographique en 1983, qui a grandement contribué à influer sur l'évolution de la croissance démographique en Algérie.

This article aims to describe the demographic transition and its relationship to the population policies pursued by Algeria. The transformations that affected both the birth and death rates, the life expectancies and the population growth witnessed by Algeria, and the most important determinants that led to this transformation in the population structure, including economic, social, cultural, and even the policy pursued by Algeria since the implementation of the PNMCD program in 1983, which contributed significantly to influence the course of population growth in Algeria, have been discussed.
