المستخلص: ان أهمية المركز التاريخي في حل مشاكل المدينة لم تعد تحتاج للتأكيد. فالمركز التاريخي لقسنطينة معترف به كمجال متماسك ومنسجم عمرانيا ومعماريا. هذا الاعتراف يؤهله ليكون مصدر حلول حقيقية ومناسبة لكامل المجال. كانت لمشاركتنا في المشروع التجريبي لإعادة تأهيل عدد من البيوتات القديمة للسويقة السفلى خلال سنة 2007 الفضل الكبير في معرفة حجم الصعوبات لإعداد دراسة المشروع نظرا لعدم وجود الإطار القانوني والمنهجي الضروريان لترسيخ المقترحات . وبالرغم من هذا فان الدراسة المنجزة سمحت بتقييم مدى تأثير المركز التاريخي على المدينة من حيث التصميم العمراني والمعماري بالإضافة الى تحديد المبادئ التوجيهية للمقترحات الخاصة بإنجاز التغييرات الضرورية للمركز التاريخي في حد ذاته بانسجام كبير مع نسيجه الاصلي، كما تجلت فائدتها في تزويد المشاريع الخاصة بالمركز التاريخي كله بالمعطيات القاعدية وإنشاء بنك من المراجع لدعم الإنتاج المعماري في المدينة كلها.

The importance of the historic center for solving the problems of the city is attested. That of Constantine is recognized as a place of urban and architectural coherence and harmony. This recognition implies that it is a source of real and suitable responses for the entire territory. It was the participation in the pilot project for the rehabilitation of some houses in lower Souika in 2007 that made us feel the constraint of the absence of the conceptual and methodological framework necessary for anchoring the project proposals. It is precisely the examination of the impact of the historic center on the city from an urban and architectural point, that filled this void and allowed us to identify the guidelines of the proposals in order to maintain the harmony of the fabric in itself. , to feed the projects on the historic center and to start the construction of a bank of referents for the architectural production on the city.

L’importance que revêt le centre historique pour la résolution des problèmes de la ville est attestée. Celui de Constantine est reconnu lieu de cohérence et d’harmonie urbaine et architecturale. Cette identification implique qu’il est source de réponses réelles et convenables pour l’ensemble du territoire. C’est la participation dans le projet pilote pour la réhabilitation d’un lot de maisons à la basse Souika en 2007 qui nous a fait sentir la contrainte d’absence du cadre conceptuel et méthodologique nécessaires à l’ancrage des propositions du projet. Nonobstant à cela, l’étude réalisée a permis d’évaluer l’impact du centre historique sur la ville de point de vue conception urbaine et architecturale en comblant ce vide, et nous a permis en plus de dégager les lignes directrices des propositions de transformations afin de maintenir l’harmonie du tissu en soi, alimenter les projets sur le centre historique même et enclencher la construction d’une banque de référents pour la production architecturale sur la ville entière.
