المستخلص: تهدف الدراسة إلى معرفة مدي وعي الزوجات المعلقات والمهجورات بحقوقهن ومدي انعكاسها على استقرارهن الأسري وطبقت الدراسة على المعلقات والمهجورات بمحافظة بارق واستخدمت الدراسة دليل المقابلة (استبانة) تحتوي على أسئلة مغلقة مع إمكانية إضافة سبب اختيار الإجابة وقسمة إلى أربعة محاور وهي الأسباب التي دفعت إلى التعليق أو الهجران – وعي الزوجات المعلقات والمهجورات بحقوقهن – ممارسة الزوجات المعلقات والمهجورات لحقوقهن – واقع علاقة المعلقات والمهجورات بالأسرة والمجتمع. وكانت أهم النتائج التي أظهرتها الدراسة: - ليس هنالك تدخل من قبل مؤسسات المجتمع لتغيير أوضاع المعلقات والمهجورات إلى الأفضل. - غالبية المبحوثات لا يتمتعن بالاستقلالية الكافية للمطالبة بحقوقهن. - غالبية المبحوثات على وعي تام بواجباتهن وحقوقهن في الحياة الزوجية. - مدي ممارسة الزوجات المعلقات والمهجورات لحقوقهن جاء بدرجة دون الوسط. - هنالك فروق في مدي وعي وممارسة الزوجات المعلقات والمهجورات لحقوقهن تبعا لمتغير المستوي التعليمي. - أبرز الأسباب التي دفعت إلى التعليق أو الهجران من وجهة نظر المبحوثات انشغال الزوج بالدرجة الأولي ثم تدخل الأقارب من الجهتين.

This study aimed to measure the level of awareness among abandoned and deserted wives (ADW) about their rights and how its effect on their family stability. The study applied on ADW on the Province of Bareq, Asier Region. The research used survey (questionnaire) containing closed questions, with the possibility of adding the reason for choosing the answer. The study divided into four section: Firstly, reasons that led to deserted or abandonment. Secondly, the rights awareness of abandoned and deserted wives. Thirdly, rights, and obligations practiced by ADW Finally, the reality of abandoned and deserted wives situation with family as well as the community. The main results demonstrated by the study are the following: • Mostly there is no level of involvement by society's organizations to solve the situations of abandoned and deserted wives. • The majority of respondents do not have enough independency to claim their rights. • The minority of respondents are fully aware of their duties and rights in marital life. • The level of the rights practised by ADW is below the middle. • There are differences in the extent of the rights awareness as well as practices among ADW according to their level of education. • From the standpoint of respondents, the main reasons that led to the abandonment are primarily the preoccupation of the husbands and then relatives’ involvement from both sides.
