المستخلص: هدفت الورقة لمعرفة مدى تكيف النزلاء مع زملائهم وبيئتهم الجديدة وما تحتويه من برامج وأنشطة يومية وأسبوعية داخل السجن، ودراسة بيئة السجن ومدى تناسبها صحيا مع حياة النزلاء بالسجن، ثم إلقاء الضوء على العمل التأهيلي والإنتاجي للنزلاء بالسجون وما يقدم لهم. تأتي أهمية الورقة من أن بيئة السجن وما تنطوي عليه من تقييد للحرية والحق في الاختيار ومحدودية الفرص لإقامة علاقات آمنه وطيدة، من المحتمل أن تؤدي إلى تغيير شخصية النزيل على نحو يصعب معه اندماجه في المجتمع مرة أخرى. اتبعت الورقة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي والمنهج التاريخي. من أهم نتائج الورقة بيئة السجن صحية وملائمة للنزلاء وتتوفر فيها سبل الحياة من غذاء وماء ولبس كحد أدنى، وجود التدريب المهني بالصورة العلمية المطلوبة للمسجونين ليتحقق التأهيل ويعتبر ضرورة من الضروريات لإعدادهم للحياة المستقبلية وتمكينهم من تحقيق التوافق النفسي للتكيف الاجتماعي، هنالك عدم توزيع للنزلاء بصورة عادلة وملائمة على حسب العمر ونوع الجريمة وكذلك لا يوجد تصنيف للنزلاء وفصلهم في عنابر خاصة بكل فئة. أوصت الورقة بعدد من التوصيات منها: الاهتمام ببرامج السجون ومراجعتها بما يحقق تأهيل النزيل- مهنيا وثقافيا وروحيا، العمل على دعم السجون لتطوير مشروعاتها الإنتاجية وتخصيص جزء من العائد للسجين وأسرته ودعم البرامج التأهيلية والمهنية والإصلاحية، ضرورة إصلاح السجون وتأهيلها بالمستوى الذي يوفر المناخ الملائم والذي يمكن من عملية التصنيف والتوزيع الجيد للنزلاء ما يمكن بدوره من التمتع بالحقوق والقيام بالواجبات.

The paper aimed to find out the extent of inmates’ adaptation to their colleagues and their new environment and the daily and weekly programs and activities contained within the prison, and to study the prison environment and its health suitability with the lives of inmates in the prison, then shed light on the rehabilitation and productive work of inmates in prisons and what is provided to them. The importance of the paper comes from the fact that the prison environment, the restriction of freedom and the right to choose, and the limited opportunities for establishing safe and solid relationships are likely to lead to a change in the inmate’s personality in a way that makes it difficult for him to integrate into society again. The paper followed the descriptive, analytical and historical method. One of the most important findings of the paper is a healthy and suitable prison environment for inmates, and there are ways of life, including food, water and clothing as a minimum. The existence of vocational training in the scientific image required for prisoners is achieved rehabilitation and is considered a necessity to prepare them for future life and enable them to achieve psychological compatibility for social adaptation. They are appropriate according to age and type of crime, as well as there is no classification of inmates and their separation in wards specific to each category. The paper recommended a number of recommendations, including paying attention to prison programs and reviewing them in order to achieve the inmate’s professional, cultural and spiritual rehabilitation, working on supporting prisons to develop their productive projects, allocating part of the return to the prisoner and his family and supporting rehabilitation, professional and correctional programs, the need to reform prisons and rehabilitate them at the level that provides an appropriate climate that enables the process Good classification and distribution of inmates, which in turn enables them to enjoy rights and use duties..
