المستخلص: The photovoltaic energy is one of the cleanest and the most suitable energies to replace the fossil fuels, the technological advances have allowed it to be roughly equivalent to the conventional energies in terms of production costs. Alegria, by Virtue of its surface area, location, and the geographical specifics, its potential for producing the renewable energies is undoubtedly promising. Within this elaborate framework, an ambitious programme to increase the share of the renewables in the total energy production by 2030, in which the photovoltaic energy holds the first place. In this article we will try to assess the achievements of this project, its ability to meet the growing demand, the constraints and the obstacles encountered by the photovoltaic energy in Algeria.

L’énergie photovoltaïque est l’une des énergies propres les mieux disposée à remplacer les énergies fossiles, les avancées technologiques lui ont permis une quasi parité avec les énergies conventionnelles par rapport aux coûts de production. L’Algérie de par sa superficie, de par sa localisation et ses spécificités géographiques, son potentiel en matière de production d’énergies renouvelables est, indéniablement, assez prometteur. Dans ce cadre élaboré, un programme ambitieux afin de hausser la part du renouvelable dans la production énergétique totale d’ici 2030, dans laquelle l’énergie photovoltaïque tient la première place. Dans cet article nous tenterons d’évaluer les réalisations de ce projet, sa capacité à satisfaire la demande croissante, aux contraintes et obstacles que rencontre l’énergie photovoltaïque en Algérie.
