المستخلص: This article deals with an important aspect of Qur’anic studies, which is the comparisons made in the Qur’an and their purposes. The Qur’an compares between various things. These comparisons are scattered throughout the Qur’an. For example, we find in the Qur’an a comparison between guidance and error, between Allah and false idols, between faith and disbelief, between the believer and the unbeliever, between knowledge and ignorance, between Paradise and Hell, etc. These Qur’anic comparisons have a variety of eloquent methods as well as purposes to pursue. This research highlights these methods and explains these purposes after inferring them from the comparisons made in the verses of the Qur’an.
