المستخلص: كان للعمارة في الماضي هوية تراثية محددة وواضحة تعكس خصائص الشعوب وخلفياتها الثقافية والتراثية والاجتماعية، أما اليوم فان هوية العمارة المصرية قد تلاشت بفعل سيطرة فكرة التغريب على العمارة والتطور التكنولوجي واحتياجات العصر مما يدعو إلى أهمية دراسة أهمية وجود عمارة معاصرة تلبي احتياجات العصر ولا تؤثر على الهوية التراثية. في مقابل سيطرة فكرة التغريب كرمز للتطور ومواكبة العصر ظهر في مصر بالتسعينات توجه معماري يناهض هذا الفكر المادي ويدعو إلى ضرورة العودة إلى الجذور والتراث وربط النتاج المعماري المعاصر بالقيم الجمالية والمعمارية والعمرانية للتراث المصري سواء كان فرعونيا أو قبطيا أو إسلاميا. وباعتبار أن التراث المصري هو المنبع الأساسي للأفكار والمفاهيم والصياغات الحديثة، وهذا من أجل خلق هوية معمارية تلائم هوية المجتمع المصري، ويأتي ذلك من خلال دراسة نماذج مختلفة للمباني المعاصرة (العالمية والمحلية) والتي استخدمت المفردات التراثية بشكل معاصر من أجل الحفاظ على مستقبل الهوية التراثية ومدى إرتباط هذه النماذج بالتراث والمعاصرة لتحديد هويتها المعمارية من خلال ثلاث مستويات: على مستوى التشكيل العام- على مستوى التشكيلات الجزيئية – على مستوى المفردات التشكيلية، للوصول إلى استخلاص مجموعة من نتائج الدراسة النظرية والدراسة التحليلية. مشكلة البحث: ظهور العديد من المباني التي لا تتلاءم مع هوية القاهرة التراثية نتيجة لتقاليد العمارة الغربية والتقدم التكنولوجي مما أدى إلى ظهور مفردات في العمارة لا تعبر عن الهوية التراثية وكذلك عدم شعور المستخدمين بالانتماء نحو العمارة حيث أنها لا يراعي الثقافة المحلية لهم ولا تتناسب مع تراثهم الحضاري بشكل عام وتراثهم المعماري بشكل خاص. لذا جاء هدف البحث الرئيسي هو دراسة كيفية إدخال مفردات العمارة التراثية في العمارة المعاصرة لتحقيق الربط بين الأصالة والمعاصرة بشكل يحقق الاستدامة للتراث.

In the past, architecture had a specific and clear heritage identity that reflects peoples' characteristics and cultural, heritage, and social backgrounds. Today, the identity of Egyptian architecture has vanished due to the domination of the idea of Westernization on architecture, technological development, and the needs of the age, which calls for the significance of studying the importance of a contemporary architecture that meets the needs of the age and does not affect the identity heritage. In contrast to the dominance of the idea of Westernization as a symbol of development and keeping pace with the times, an architectural trend emerged in Egypt in the nineties that opposes this materialistic thought and calls for the need to return to the roots and heritage and link contemporary architectural production with the aesthetic, architectural and constructional values of the Egyptian heritage, whether it is Pharaonic, Coptic or Islamic. Considering that the Egyptian heritage is the main source of modern ideas, concepts, and formulations, and this is in order to create an architectural identity that matches the identity of the Egyptian society, and this comes through the study of different models of contemporary buildings (global and local) that used heritage vocabulary in a contemporary way in order to preserve the future of the heritage identity and the extent to which these models are related to heritage and contemporariness to determine their architectural identity through three levels: at the level of general formation - at the level of molecular formations - at the level of plastic items, in order to reach a set of results from the theoretical study and the analytical study. Research problem: Many buildings that do not fit with Cairo's heritage identity emerged as a result of the traditions of Western architecture and technological progress, which led to the emergence of vocabulary in architecture that does not express the heritage identity, as well as the users' lack of sense of belonging to architecture as it does not take into account their local culture and does not fit with their heritage civilization in general and their architectural heritage in particular. Therefore, the main research objective was to study how to introduce the vocabulary of heritage architecture into contemporary architecture to achieve the link between originality and contemporariness in a way that achieves sustainability for heritage.
