شغلت مسألة التكاملية Integration على المستويين الداخلي بين الأنظمة الفرعية، والخارجي بين الأنظمة المختلفة المعمول بها داخل المؤسسة الأم اهتمام الكثير من الباحثين والعاملين في بيئة المكتبات ومراكز المعلومات خاصة ما يتبع منها مؤسسات تعليمية. فمنذ تاريخ النظم الالكترونية الداعمة لوظائف وخدمات المكتبات كان الهدف هو تحقيق التكامل بين الأنظمة الفرعية المكونة لنظام إدارة المكتبة وخدماتها وتحقق ذلك بالفعل وانتقل النظام الالكتروني المتكامل لإدارة المكتبة من الإدارة والتشغيل الداخلي على مستوى الشبكات الداخلية LAN إلى الفضاء الإلكتروني الرحب المعروف بشبكة الإنترنت ومنها إلى تطبيقات الهواتف الذكية ومؤخرا تم استثمار مساحات من الحوسبة السحابية بخدماتها المختلفة لدعم هذه الأنظمة وبرمجياتها. ونتيجة لغياب معيار دولي ينص على ضرورة تخصيص مساحة معيارية أو خدمية Standard or facilitated space للمكتبة ضمن المنتجات المعروفة لنظم إدارة التعليم الإلكتروني LMS، وضعت بعض المكتبات مجموعة متنوعة من الاستراتيجيات من أجل توفير الموارد Resources بما في ذلك مصادر المعلومات، والخدمات، وبرامج الوعي المعلوماتي، بل وأمناء المكتبات أنفسهم داخل الفصل الدراسي الافتراضي Virtual classroom خاصة وأن هذه النظم وغيرها تعمل من خلال بنية أساسية واحدة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات للمؤسسة الأم. يهتم البحث بمشكلة التكاملية بمستوياتها وأوجهها المختلفة بين نظم إدارة المكتبات الأكاديمية ونظم إدارة التعليم الإلكتروني ومنصات التعليم عن بعد التي وفرتها العديد من الجهات على شبكة الويب، وذلك من خلال التعرف على خبرات المكتبات التي سجلت تجاربها في هذا الخصوص، واستعراض ادبيات الموضوع على المستوى العالمي. ففي ظل البيئة التنافسية بين أنظمة التعليم الإلكتروني ومنصاتها، كان على المكتبات الأكاديمية أن تكون مبدعة في توجهاتها لتضمين المحتوى العلمي والدراسي المتنوع والمفيد، والعملية التعليمية ذاتها بأحدث مناهجها وأساليبها، فضلا عن أمناء المكتبات بأدوارهم وخدماتهم المتنوعة في تلك البيئة. وبصرف النظر عن منهاج التكامل ومستواه بين نظام المكتبة ونظام إدارة العملية التعليمية ومنصاتها الإلكترونية المجانية وبمقابل مالي، فإن احتمال استخدام الطلاب للمكتبة يعتمد بشكل كبير على ما إذا كانت إدارة المؤسسة التعليمية تشجع وتروج لاستخدام المكتبة أم لا!

Since the history of electronic systems that support library functions and services, the goal has been to achieve integration between the subsystems that make up the library management system and its services, and this has already been achieved. The integrated electronic system for library management has moved from administration and internal operation to the Internet and from there to smart phone applications. Various tools to support these systems and their software. As a result of the absence of an international standard stipulating the necessity to allocate a standard or facilitated space for the library within the well-known products of LMS systems, some libraries have developed a variety of strategies for providing resources including information sources, services, and information awareness programs, And even the librarians themselves within the virtual classroom, especially since these systems and others operate through a single infrastructure for information and communications technology for the parent institution. The research is concerned with the problem of complementarity with its various levels and aspects between academic library management systems, e-learning management systems and distance education platforms provided by many agencies on the web, through identifying the experiences of libraries that recorded their experiences in this regard, and reviewing the literature of the topic at the global level. In light of the competitive environment between e-learning systems and platforms, academic libraries had to be creative in their orientations to include the diverse and useful scientific and academic content, the educational process itself with its latest curricula and methods, as well as librarians with their various roles and services in that environment. Regardless of the curriculum of integration and its level between the library system and the educational process management system and its electronic platforms, whether free or for a financial fee, the possibility for students to use the library depends largely on whether the management of the educational institution in particular encourage and promote the use of the library or not!
