المستخلص: أهمية البحث يبين منهج العلاء في التعامل مع فرق الشيعة، يربط الأحداث المعاصرة بخلفياتها العقدية وسياقاتها التاريخية، يوضح لليمنين عامة وللحضارمة خاصة منهج علمائهم في التعامل مع الشيعة. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي والمنهج الاستقرائي والمنهج التحليلي تتمثل أهداف البحث في: إظهار المنهج العقدي المتميز لعلماء حضرموت في التعامل مع فرق الشيعة وبيان العلاقة بن الماضي والحاضر في التعامل مع الشيعة ولفت أنظار الباحثين نحو هذا الموضوع. ومن أهم نتائج البحث تفريق علاء حضرموت في التعامل مع الفرق الشيعية فكانت معاملتهم مع الزيدية مختلفة عن معاملتهم مع الفرق المتأثرة بالرفض. أن علماء حضرموت وقع بينهم الاختلاف بشأن بيعة الإمام الزيدي والإذعان لطاعته بينا لم يتقبل أحد منهم أئمة الرافضة أو الرضا بهم ولم يختلفوا حول بيعة أئمتهم، مثل ما وقع الاختلاف بينهم في شأن بيعة أئمة الزيدية.

Research importance it shows the approach of scholars in dealing with Shiite sect It links contemporary events with their doctrinal backgrounds and historical contexts. He explains to the Yemenis in general and the Hadramis in particular the approach of their scholars in dealing with the Shiites. Research Methodology: In my studies, I followed the following approaches: The descriptive method, the inductive method, and the analytical method The research objectives are: Demonstrating the distinctive doctrinal approach of the scholars of Hadhramaut in dealing with Shiite sects and clarifying the relationship between the past and the present in dealing with Shiites and drawing the attention of researchers towards this topic. Among the most important search results: The scholars of Hadhramaut differed in their dealings with the Shiite sects, so their treatment of the Zaidis was different from their treatment of the sects affected by the rejection. The scholars of Hadhramaut differed about the pledge of allegiance to the Zaydi imam and submission to his obedience, while none of them accepted the Rafidah imams or were satisfied with them, and they did not disagree about the pledge of allegiance to their imams, as the difference occurred between them regarding the pledge of allegiance to the imams of the Zaydi.
