Having achieved the admiration of some writers and their endorsement for him, they declared: "Abba Tamam, in his choice of enthusiasm, the meaning in his hair", influenced by his student Bahtri, who walked in his steps to collect enthusiastic poems and the classification of his office. The enthusiasm of the East - Abu Tammam - moved to the Maghreb and received a positive response; the most important was influenced by him and followed his path in the program and the presentation in a big and a thousand enthusiasts corresponds to the Court, enthusiasm to the measure of the Moroccan enthusiasm and enthusiasm, Son of Andalusian.

كانت أشعار الحماسة تستأثر بمنزلة عالية في وجدان العربي وذائقته في العصر الجاهلي وبعده، باعتبارها نظم شعرية يترجم فيها اللسان دور السيف، والأقوال تحل محل الأفعال، تخلد بطولات الفرسان المحاربين الذين شيدوا أمجادهم على أطراف رؤوس الرماح، وعبروا عن فطرتهم التي تميل إلى القيم النبيلة كالعزة والشجاعة والكرم والفروسية والتضحية في سبيل الذود عن الشرف والحفاظ على المجد وحسن الذكر، وكان أهم ديوان شعري ضم عددا من أشعار الحماسة: ديوان أبو تمام الذي حظي بمكانة رفيعة في مدونة الشعر العربي القديم، وبلغ من الانتشار و ذيوع صيته ما لم يبلغه ديوان آخر، كما حظى باهتمام علماء اللغة ونقاد الشعر وتقديرهم في مختلف البيئات العلمية، وقد بلغ من إعجاب بعض الأدباء واستحسانهم له فقالوا: "إن أبا تمام في اختياره الحماسة أشعر منه في شعره"، كما تأثر به تلميذه البحتري الذي سار على نهجه في جمع الأشعار الحماسية وتبويب ديوانه إلى حد كبير. انتقلت الحماسة المشرقية-أبو تمام-إلى بلاد المغرب ولقيت إقبالا كبيرا عليها، وأهم من تأثر بها وسار على دربها في المنهج والتبويب بصورة كبيرة وألف ديوانا حماسيا يطابق ديوان حماسة أبى تمام إلى حد بعيد نجد حماسة الجراوي المغربية، وحماسة ابن هانئ الأندلسي.
