المستخلص: To achieve our objective, which is the study of the response of a hyper-pure germanium semiconductor detector. And its application to gamma-ray spectrometry, it is imperative to measure and control certain parameters of the detection system. We did the previous experiments and we arrived at the following results: -The resolution increases according to the energy for the same distance. But does not vary according to the distance for the same energy. -The influence of energy on the detection efficiency. It decreased by a factor of about 8 as a function of energy for the same distance and by a factor of about 15 with respect to the same energy and as a function of distance. The detection efficiency is even greater when the energy is low and the distance is low. -The different responses of the detector’s efficiency for a given energy according to the distance showed an exponential decay. It decreases according to the energy. The probability of interaction of gammas with the germanium crystal has a great influence. -The dead time decreases with distance. It decreased by 14 for a distance of 0 cm to 4 for a distance of 10 cm. So, the effect of the detector’s response to distance is a very sensitive parameter. It will be necessary to proceed to a correction of the count by a factor taking into account the dead time. The more energy increases the less events are produced in the crystal.
