المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة دور الإرشاد النفسي في خفض الضغوط النفسية لدى أمهات أطفال التوحد بمحافظة جدة، ويبلغ عددهم (85) أم، والبحث عن الفروق بين متوسطات دور الإرشاد النفسي في خفض الضغوط النفسية لدى أمهات أطفال التوحد تبعاً للتغيرات التالية (جنس الطفل- عمر الطفل -إجمالي الدخل الشهري- عمل الأم)، حيث اتبعت الباحثة منهج التصميم التتابعي التفسيري الذي يجمع بين المنهج الكمي والنوعي في جمع البيانات وتحليلها، وتم استخدام مقياس دور الإرشاد النفسي ومقياس الضغوط النفسية لأمهات أطفال التوحد من إعداد الباحثة (2021). وتوصلت الدراسة إلى العديد من النتائج أبرزها: أن مستوى الإرشاد النفسي لدى عينة من أمهات أطفال التوحد في مدينة جدة مرتفع وأن مستوى الضغوط النفسية لديهم متوسط، وتوجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متوسط درجات الضغوط النفسية لدى عينة من أمهات أطفال التوحد في مدينة جدة ويعزى متغير (الجنس) لصالح الذكور، توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متوسط درجات الضغوط النفسية لدى عينة من أمهات أطفال التوحد في مدينة جدة ويعزى متغير (المهنة) وذلك لصالح الأمهات العاملات، لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متوسط درجات الضغوط النفسية لدى عينة من أمهات أطفال التوحد في مدينة جدة ويعزى متغير (الدخل الشهري)، توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متوسط درجات الضغوط النفسية لدى عينة من أمهات أطفال التوحد في مدينة جدة ويعزى متغير (العمر) وذلك لصالح العمر بين 8-10 حيث تبين انخفاض مستوى الضغوط النفسية لدى أمهاتهم، وجود علاقة ارتباطية عكسية دالة إحصائياً بين دور الإرشاد النفسي وبين الضغوط النفسية لدى أمهات أطفال التوحد في مدينة جدة.

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of psychological counseling programs in reducing psychological stress among mothers of children with autism in the governorate of Jeddah, whose number is (85) mothers, and to search for differences between the averages of the role of psychological counseling in reducing psychological stress among mothers of autistic children according to the following variables (child gender-child age-total monthly income - the mother's profession). The researcher followed the explanatory sequential design approach that combines the quantitative and qualitative approach in collecting and analyzing data. Also, the researcher used the psychological counseling role scale and the psychological stress scale among mothers of autistic children. The study reached many findings, most notably: that the level of psychological counseling among a sample of mothers of autistic children in the city of Jeddah is high and that the level of psychological stress is average, and there are statistically significant differences in the average degrees of psychological stress among a sample of mothers of autistic children in the city of Jeddah, and the variable (gender) is attributed to the benefit of males. There are statistically significant differences in the average degrees of psychological stress among a sample of mothers of autistic children in the city of Jeddah, and the variable (profession) is attributed to the benefit of working mothers. There are no statistically significant differences in the average degrees of stress Psychological among a sample of mothers of autistic children in the city of Jeddah and the variable (monthly income) is attributed. There are statistically significant differences in the average degrees of psychological stress among a sample of mothers of autistic children in the city of Jeddah and the variable (age) is attributed in favor of age between 8-10, where there is a decrease in the level of psychological stress of their mothers, and as well as an inverse correlation statistically significant between the role of psychological counseling and the psychological stress of mothers of autistic children in the city of Jeddah.
