المستخلص: Les sources arabes du Moyen Age évoquant les villes et les antiquités de différents pays du monde nous confirment l’intérêt que les Arabes portaient à l’héritage des civilisations qui les avaient devancés ; d’ailleurs traditionnellement les sources arabes, spécialement les sources historiques, consacraient un ou plusieurs chapitres aux civilisations anciennes. Le but de cet article est de présenter un ensemble de textes arabes à propos de la ville d’Al-Haḍra-Oppidum Novum et ses antiquités.

The Arab sources of the Middle Ages evoking the cities and the antiquities of different countries of the world confirm the interest that the Arabs carried to the legacy of the civilizations that had preceded them; Traditionally, Arab sources, especially historical sources, devoted one or more chapters to ancient civilizations. The purpose of this article is to present a set of Arabic texts about the city of Al-Haḍra-Oppidum Novum and its antiquities
