|a تعرضت الجزائر لاستعمار استيطاني منذ تعرضها للاحتلال الفرنسي سنة 1830، وقامت مملكة لويس فليب بالتوسع بالجزائر الشمالية في المرحلة الأولى ودخلت في صراع مع المقاومة الجزائرية بقيادة الأمير عبد القادر، حيث احتلت مستغانم وضواحيها تباعا منذ 1833 وبعد ما استطاع "لامورسيار" القائد الفرنسي من تثبيت السيطرة الفرنسية على مستغانم وضواحيها بعد أن تمكنت فرنسا من تخليص منطقة مزغران من هجومات الأمير وكذا هجمات الشيخ "بومعزرة" لمستغانم سنة 1845، تبنت سياسة الاحتلال الشامل وتأسيس المستوطنات الفلاحية، حيث كانت حاسي ماماش مع موعد المعمرين الأوائل سنة 1848 من باريس والمدن الفرنسية الأخرى وبعض البلدان الأوربية كألمانيا وسويسرا لإقامة تجمع سكاني للأوربيين الذي استوطنوا هذه البلدة واستفادوا من مساعدة الجمهورية الثانية لبناء السكنات والمشاريع الفلاحية على حساب السكان الأصليين للمنطقة المتمثلين أساسا في تراب منطقة "الدرادب" حيث سنحاول في هذه الدراسة معرفة تطور الاستيطان الفرنسي بهذا المركز الاستيطاني وانعكاسات سياسة الاستيطان على سكان منطقة حاسي ماماش ريفولي" سابقا.
