|a In this time of crisis, where environmental concerns are of paramount importance, hydrogen is one of the technologies that provides one of the solutions, if not the solution, to greenhouse gas and energy supply issues. The aim of this thesis is to study the potential of hydrogen in Algeria from wind power and to specify the areas favorable to the installation of wind power plants. After presenting the generalities on wind turbines and hydrogen, we opted for our study of combinations of two computer tools. The first tool is the FORTRAN code, where we introduced the mathematical modeling of Weibull, the integration of Weibull's modeling allowed us to: calculate the wind speed distribution, the electrical energy yield, and then deduce the net potential in hydrogen. The second tool is a Geographic Information System (GIS); because of this latter, we were able to represent all our results on thematic maps, calculate the potential of hydrogen, exclude the zones of interest and represent on a final map the favorable zones. For the installation of our system. We have been able to estimate a net hydrogen potential of 3.13 tons per year and a value of 2.75 tons per year for the technical hydrogen potential, values that promise that hydrogen will become more and more important. A place of choice in the panel of energy vectors, but it is not the miracle energy that will completely replace fossil fuels. In addition, many studies remain to be carried out so that hydrogen enters our daily life.
