المستخلص: Notre article se veut une un ensemble de quelques précisions sur certains aspects de la romanisation dans le Byzacium. C’est une zone assez stratégique ayant des potentialités économiques considérables. Il s'agit d'une communication qui focalise sur trois axes bien déterminés. D'abord, on essaie de délimiter approximativement le cadre géographique de notre recherche tout en dégageant les dimensions de la romanisation. En parallèle, on observe que nous étudierons le processus romanisation dans la région en question au cours du Haut-Empire. Ensuite, l'accent sera mis sur un premier aspect de cette romanisation à savoir la romanisation culturelle et religieuse. On évoquera les aspects suivants : la religion, l’onomastique et la préparation progressive d'un cadre urbain à la romaine. Puis, on tâche d'éclairer certains traits de la romanisation politique et juridique. Il est question du statut des hommes de l’aristocratie locale et leur ascension sociale.

Our article is a set of some clarifications on certain aspects of romanization in Byzacium. It is a rather strategic area with considerable economic potential. This is a communication that focuses on three welldefined axes. First, we try to approximate the geographical framework of our research while at the same time identifying the dimensions of Romanization. In parallel, it is observed that we will study the process of Romanization in the region in question during the Early Empire. Then, emphasis will be placed on a first aspect of this Romanization, namely cultural and religious Romanization. The following aspects will be mentioned : religion, onomastics and the preparation of an urban setting in the Roman style. Then, we try to shed light on certain aspects of political and legal Romanization. It is a question of the status of the men of the local aristocracy and their social rise.

نتطرق في هذه المقالة إلى أهم خصائص عملية الرومنة في منطقة بيزاكيوم، وهي جهة الساحل الممتدة في الوسط الشرقي للبلاد التونسية خلال القرون الثلاث الأولى بعد الميلاد، وهي منطقة ذات موقع استراتيجي، وتمتلك إمكانات اقتصادية لا بأس بها. إن الخيط الرئيس الرابط بين ثنايا هذه الدراسة يتمثل في تتبع مسار الرومنة في المنطقة المذكورة. وللغوص في ثنايا هذه المقاربة اخترنا الاستناد إلى ثلاثة محاور كبرى: أولاً محاولة تحديد الإطار الجغرافي التقريبي لمجال دراستنا بالتوازي مع إبراز أبعاد الرومان الرئيسية. ثانيًا سنجتهد لتحليل المظاهر الكبرى للرومنة الثقافية والدينية لذلك سيتم التركيز على الجانب الديني وسمات الأعلام والتهيئة التدريجية لنمط عيش على المنوال الروماني. ثالثًا نبتغي تسليط الضوء على بعض جوانب الرومنة الإدارية والسياسية، ويتعلق الأمر أساسًا بوضعية أفراد الارستقراطية المحلية عبر انتقاء أمثلة معبرة على الحركية الاجتماعية في المنطقة موضوع بحثنا.
