"Algerians had strongly rejected the existence of the French colonialism that lasted a long period, since 1830, using the national military and political resistance that differ according to the circumstances. This continuity in struggling was thanks to many people and leaders who lead at that time, and were known for their patriotism, no renunciation whatever the circumstances and the continuity fighting. For this, it has been interesting to focus on those important persons and exposure their prowess and their roles in struggling until independence. In fact, most of the national historical studies that have focused on the history of Algeria during the French occupation, allowed the researches in the historical events that characterized the colonial period. Then, there were a large knowledge about the historical event, by starting with its causes, conditions and results, at the expense of the characters that made the event, who are only mentioned in the context of the analysis. From this, it became necessary to be interested in the study of the biography of national leaders, because of its scientific importance, since the study of the pathway of any national personality allows us to exposure many historical events and to make researches, starting from the personal roles, their influence and their position of events. On this basis, we chose to raise the issue of the famous Ben Nacer Ben Chohra and make researches on his struggling pathway. he was a model for young Algerians; he devoted his life to fight against the colonial abuse in the southern Algeria (1851-1874)." |
