Bejaia Hafsia inherited an important heritage from the Hammadian castle. That accumulated heritage has contributed in the arrival of the city to the peak of prosperity through the mobility of scientific castle after the flow of the elites in 7 AH/13th century. Abu L'abas Alghubrini wrote a book about that in 704 AH/1304 AD, under the title ‘unwan eddiraya fimen ‘urifa fi lmia sabia’ bi bijaya", The book was translated to 108 scholars and scientists in various specializations, sciences and arts. They were Bejaians and Andalusians who entered the city and have studied or taught there. The educational institutions also contributed in the formation of students in the religious sciences. The former were represented in Katatib and Zawaya and the homes of scholars. In his book, Alghibrini shows the contributions of Andalusians and the native Bejaians in the production of knowledge in various disciplines like El Fiqh, Hadith and Qoran. In addition to all that, the ability of Bejaia in the competition of scientific towns and cities during that period by the transfer of knowledge outside Bejaian space.
