إلى أين نحن ذاهبون؟ وما بين المنشأ والمصير تتمحور كل أسئلة البشرية وتاريخها وثقافتها وقصصها وأساطيرها وأديانها منذ بدء الخليقة. وهل تاريخنا وتراثنا وحتى علومنا إلا محاولة الإجابة عن تفسير بداية كل شيء ونهايته، أما ما بين ذاكين الحدين فتفاصيل متنوعة. وليست الأمم الأفريقية بمختلفة عن كل الأمم الأخرى في كون تراثها زاخرا بالقصص والأساطير المتنوعة والمختلفة، ومثلها مثل كل أساطير الأمم الأخرى، دائما ما توجد أسطورة تفسر كيف بدأ كل شيء، ولماذا ومن بدأ هذا المهرجان الحياتي الذي كتب على البشرية أن تغوص فيه كأوحل مستنقع غارق في أعمق نقطة مظلمة داخل غابة أفريقية مجهولة. ولا يمكن بحال أن يتم النظر إلى أفريقيا كأمة واحدة تربطها وحدة ثقافية وبيئية وتاريخية واحدة، ففي أفريقيا تنوع هائل يليق بأقدم القارات وأعرقها؛ ففيها تجد تنوعا بين أمم الصحراء والغابات والريف والحضر والساحل والمرتفعات والسهول والقبائل...إلخ. ومع هذا التنوع؛ فإن لكل أمة أفريقية تراثها الثقافي والأسطوري الذي نتج عن بيئتها ومحاولة أفرادها لتفسير الموجودات تبعا لما يرونه حولهم على قدر تفكيرهم. وهنا نحاول أن نرصد أهم الأساطير الأفريقية التي حاولت الإجابة عن السؤال الأهم: من أين جئنا؟ كما سنحاول أن نقرأها ونعلق عليها من منظور بيئي وتاريخي، لنرصد رؤية الإنسان الأفريقي لمحيطه ومحاولته تفسير تاريخ نشأته الأزلية تبعا لبيئته. بمعنى أوضح: كان يا ما كان، في البدء كان...
Myths are the vessel in which early societies put the core of their thoughts and interpretations of their beliefs, origins and phenomena of their environment. The myths of any society usually include one or more about the first origins of mankind, the Creator or the first God if the society believes in the multiple deities. When a child gets older with no memories of his first stages inside his mother's womb, birth and early years, he begins to wonder when, where, and how he came. Likewise, the collective mind of human beings has this eternal question: when did humans come to earth, who created us and how? If we reproduce, who is the first human, and what is his relationship to the Creator? Therefore, just as the first societies tried to explain natural phenomena through their myths, it was necessary to create a comprehensive myth that explains creation and ends the question among members of society, to calm their minds and hearts allowing them to direct their thinking to other life issues of work and construction. Through the myth of creation, we can easily explore the core of each society's philosophy and vision of nature and role of life. Some societies believe that Man is doomed. He is nothing but a game in the hands of fate. Others believe in the power of Manand his control of his destiny, even if he is required to challenge and fight gods change his destinies. Other societies view life as an absurd play. No matter how much a person tries or interferes with gods, everyone and everything will perish and become nil. The African continent is a great continent with multiple societies and nations, so the research presents the myths of creation in different societies, taking into account the geographical, intellectual and environmental diversity in selection to reflect the extent of the continent's cultural, historical and heritage richness.
