يقوم البحث بجمع سؤالات عبد الله بن الكواء اليشكري التي طرحها على الخليفة الراشد علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه ودراستها دراسة تفسيرية، وموازنتها بأقوال العلماء والمفسرين، مع دراسة توضح بعض جوانبها، من بيان مكانة هذه السؤالات وقيمتها العلمية، وأن ما احتوت عليه من معاني للآيات ودقائق في الاستنباط كان من أسباب مكانتها عند العلماء. وخلص البحث إلى أن: وقت سؤالات ابن الكواء كان بعد خلافة على رضي الله عنه سنة (٣٥ه) إلى وفاته، وأن أول من دونها هو ابن وهب (ت 197 هـ). وعرضت الدراسة جمل ما اشتملت عليه السؤالات ودوافعها مع إحصاءات دقيقة لما احتوت عليه وموقف العلماء منها موفقة ومحالفة، ثم ذكر الدروس والفوائد من السؤالات.
The research collects the questions of Abdullah Ibn Al Kawaa Al Yashkori that he posed to the Rashidun Caliph Ali Ibn Abu Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, studying them in expository study, and weighing them with the sayings of scholars and interpreters, through a study that clarifies some of their aspects, from explaining the status of these questions and their scientific value, and that what they contained in terms of the meanings of the verses and the details of deduction was one of the reasons for their status with the scholars. The research concluded that: The time of the questions of Ibn Al Kawaa was after Ali's succession of the caliphate in 53 AH and until his death, and that the first to write them was Ibn Wahb (who died in 791 AH). The study presented the entirety of what was included in the questions and their motives, along with accurate revisions of what they contained and the scholars situation towards them, in agreement and contradiction, and then mentioned the lessons and benefits that were included in the questions.
