المستخلص: تسلط الدراسة الضوء على الضبط الاستنادي المتمثل بملف الاستناد سواء لأسماء (المؤلفين) أو الموضوعات (رؤوس الموضوعات) وأثر غيابه عن مداخل فهرس مكتبة كلية الآداب بجامعة الموصل والانعكاسات التي يمكن أن يسببها غياب مثل هكذا ملف من تعدد الصيغ المستخدمة للدلالة على المدخل الواحد وظهور المترادفات بأنواعها للدلالة على نفس الرأس وتشتت تلك المداخل في مجار الفهرس مما يوثر على كفاءة البحث والاسترجاع من قبل مستخدمي الفهرس، وقد اعتمدت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي من خلال تحليل عينة من بطاقات فهرس المؤلفين والموضوعات لإثبات صحة ما ذهبت إليه، وقد خرجت الدراسة بعدة نتائج أهمها أن استمرار القائمين بعملية الفهرسة في المكتبة المعنية بالممارسات الخاطئة للفهرسة ومع استمرار غياب ملف الاستناد للمؤلفين والموضوعات وبمرور الزمن ستزداد المشاكل السابقة لتعدد الصيغ والمترادفات المستخدمة للدلالة على المدخل الواحد في الفهرس وتتضخم، كما اقترحت الباحثة ضرورة إنشاء ملف الاستناد للمؤلفين والموضوعات لأهميته في تحقيق الضبط والتوحيد لصيغ مداخل الفهرس وضبط الإحالات المستخدمة فعلا في المكتبة وهو ما ينعكس إيجابا على مستخدمي الفهرس سواء في عملية البحث أو الاسترجاع.

The study sheds light on the attribution control represented by the authority file, whether for the names of (authors) or subject (headings), the effect of its absence from the entries of the library of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Mosul, and the implications that the absence of such a file may cause from the multiplicity of formulas used to indicate the single entry and the emergence Synonyms of all kinds denote the same head and the dispersion of those entries in the index track, which affects the efficiency of search and retrieval by index users, and the researcher adopted the descriptive approach by analyzing a sample of authors and subject index cards to prove the validity of what the researcher went to, and the study came out with several results, the most important of which are The persistence of those in charge of the indexing process in the library concerned with the wrong practices of indexing and with the continued absence of the authority file for authors and subjects and with the passage of time, the previous problems of the multiplicity of formulas and confessions used to indicate a single entry in the index will increase and amplify. The index entries and assignment assignments are actually used in the library, which is reflected positively on the user Index blood, whether in the search or retrieval process.
