|a يعد البرلمان الإسرائيلي السلطة التشريعية في دولة إسرائيل، وجهة رقابية لمتابعة أداء الحكومة لما يتمتع به من صلاحيات واسعة أقرها له الدستور الإسرائيلي، وهذا ما جعله يؤدي دورا مهما في صنع السياسة الخارجية الإسرائيلية تجاه دول الطوق العربي في المدة (1977-1988) لأنه يؤثر تأثيرا مباشر في أصحاب القرار الخارجي، وعلى الرغم من التعدد الحزبي والتنوع في توجهاتها السياسية، لكنه كثيرا ما كان يقف مع القرارات المصيرية التي تهم مصلحة الدولة الإسرائيلية لا المصلحة الحزبية.

|b The Israeli parliament is the legislative authority of the State of Israel, and a watchdog to monitor the performance of the government because of the Knesset's broad powers approved by the Israeli Constitution. This led the parliament to play an important role in the formation of Israeli foreign policy toward the Arab countries in the period 1977-1984 because the Knesset directly affects the Israeli external decision-makers, despite the multiparty and varied trends of the political currents, Which is of interest to the State of Israel and not partisan interests.
