|a تعد مشكلة عمالة الأطفال من المشاكل التي تعاني منها العديد من المجتمعات المتقدمة والمتأخرة، وذلك لارتباطها بالعديد من العوامل الاجتماعية والبيئية التي يعيش فيها الأطفال، بما في ذلك الظروف المتعلقة بالطفل نفسه، أو الظروف المتعلقة بالأزمات والتغيرات الاجتماعية. التي عاشها المجتمع العراقي. وقد جذبت هذه الظاهرة انتباه الهيئات والمنظمات الدولية، فسنوا قوانين تمنع توظيفهم في سن مبكرة، لما لها من آثار تعيق تطورهم وتنشئتهم بشكل سليم، لأن عملهم يعكس الحرمان من العمل والمعرفة، ولاسيما أنهم هم في مرحلة عمرية حرجة وبداية التبلور العقلي والاجتماعي والنفسي، اتبع البحث منهج الوصفي لتوضح عمالة الأطفال من منظور الخدمة الاجتماعية واظهر البحث اهم الاستنتاجات أن الفقر وانخفاض المستوى المعيشي للأسرة من أسباب عمالة الأطفال، فضلا عن التسرب المدرسي ومن أهم التوصيات ضرورة تحديد سبل مواجهة هذه الظاهرة التي باتت تشكل خطرا على أطفال العراق في المجتمع، وأهمية متابعة حالات تسرب الطلبة من خلال إدارات المدارس وتنظيم اجتماع أولياء الأمور بصورة متواصلة وبالتعاون مع وزارة التربية.

|b Child labor is one of the problems that afflict many advanced and late societies, due to its association with many social and environmental factors in which children live, including conditions related to the child himself, or conditions related to crises and social changes. Experienced by the Iraqi society. This phenomenon has attracted the attention of international bodies and organizations, so they enacted laws that prevent their employment at an early age, because of its effects that hinder their proper development and upbringing, because their work reflects the deprivation of work and knowledge, especially that they are in a critical age and the beginning of mental, social and psychological development. The use of the descriptive approach to describe the phenomenon of child labor from the perspective of social service, and the research showed the most important conclusions that poverty and the decline in the family’s standard of living are among the causes of child labor, as well as school dropout. One of the most important recommendations is the necessity of identifying ways to confront this phenomenon, which has become a danger to the children of Iraq. The importance of monitoring student dropouts through school administrations and organizing parents’ meeting on an ongoing basis, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
