المستخلص: Passionné par la mer et frappé par la démence, Guy de Maupassant demeure pour bon nombre de critiques la figure emblématique de l’écrivain dont la thématique d’écriture s’inspire largement de son propre vécu. Le présent article tente de déceler, dans son écriture, ce rapport existant entre les images littéraires de l’eau, en tant qu’élément naturel, avec ses troubles psychiques. Il s’agit plus précisément de comprendre ce mécanisme par lequel l’auteur de la nouvelle fantastique Sur l’eau traduit ses souffrances et ses angoisses profondes de son âme, à travers une alchimie de l’élément liquide. Une manière pour nous de renouer avec les travaux de Gaston Bachelard sur la rêverie, et de voir comment s’opère cette fusion irraisonnée de l’imagination créatrice de Maupassant aux eaux claires et eaux profondes.

Passionate about the sea and hit by the madness, Guy de Maupassant remains in the eyes of many critics an emblematic figure of the writer whose writing themes essentially take inspiration from his own life. This essay attempts to detect, in his writing, the link between the literary images of water, as a natural element, and his psychological troubles. It is, more exactly, about understanding this mechanism through which the writer of the fantastic novel On The River translates his sufferings and his soul’s deep anguishes, through an alchemy of the liquid element. For us, it is a way of renewing with the works of Gaston Bachelard about daydreaming, and seeing how to operate this irrational fusion of the creative imagination of Maupassant to the clear and deep water.

كشخصية مولعة بالماء ومصابة بالجنون، يعتبر جي دو موباسون في أعين الكثير من النقاد شخصية رمزية للكاتب الذي يستمد مواضيع كتاباته من حياته الخاصة. يحاول هذا المقال الكشف، عبر كتاباته، عن العلاقة الموجودة بين الصور الأدبية للماء كعنصر طبيعي واضطراباته النفسية. يتعلق الأمر على وجه التحديد بفهم هذه الآلية التي يترجم من خلالها كاتب الرواية العجائبية "فوق الماء" آلامه وهمومه العميقة، عبر خيمياء العنصر السائل. هي طريقتنا لإعادة النظر في أعمال جاستون باشلارد حول أحلام اليقظة، وتحديد كيفية عمل هذا الاندماج غير المطلق للمخيلة الإبداعية لموباسون مع المياه الصافية والمياه العميقة.
