520 |a Israel was rst o cially recognized by the United States of America a er 11 minutes from its declara on of establishment in the 14th of May in 1948. This was a clear indication of the extent to which Zionist movement and organizations had controlled the American decision and the ability to affect the American presidential decree which became an aim and instrument for every Zionist design, not only in the middle East, but also in all over the world. The USA, in turn, aims at, when supporting Israel, making Israel a barrier preventing the clout of the Soviet Union from spreading in the Middle East and at the same time to protect the American interests in the territory. The main reason behind choosing such a topic is the period of President Johnson has not been shed light upon by the researchers. The thesis is composed of an introduction, preliminary and three chapters. The preliminary is entitled " American- Israeli Rela ons 1948-1963. Two topics are discussed in this part, the rst of which is about these rela ons from 1948 to 1956 and the second is the development of these rela ons since the tripar te aggression from 1956 up to 1963. The first chapter is entitled "American-Israeli Relations since President Johnson's access the state position l l 1967. The chapter comprises four sections. The first one is about Israeli position of the president Johnson when accessing the presidency position in USA. The second one is concerned with the arming of the Israel by the USA before June war in 1967. This sec on is divided into two parts: the rst is about the investigations concerning the militarization conducted by the USA on behalf of Israel and the arms deal before June war in 1967. The second topic of discussion is about the USA,s position from the nuclear activities of Israel. The third section in this chapter is discussed under the title of "The American Economic Aids for Israel. The fourth section addresses position of Johnson's administration from the development of Arab-Israel conflicts 1964-1967. Chapter two discusses the outbreak of June war and the development of American- Israeli relations. This chapter includes three sections. The first one focuses on June war and the American position. The second one is about the position of major powers from this war and its impact upon the American position. The third one discusses the Arab position from the American-Israeli relations in respect to June war. The researcher focuses on the oil embargo and the Arab boycott of America and Israel this section. Chapter three, entitled "American-Israeli relations after the June war till the end of Johnson's Presidency 1967-1968". This chapter is composed of five sections. The first one pays attention to the American position from the Israeli withdrawal from the Arab lands. The second one is about Yaring's mission and the American role in settling the conflicts between Arabs and Israel. The third one is concerned with the American position from the question of Jerusalem. The fourth one addresses Johnson's administration and the American Arming of Israel. The last section in this chapter studies the American economic aids for Israel.
