المستخلص: "التراث حياة الشعب بشقيها المادي والمعنوي، فالتراث المعنوي هو الذي يعكس معارف الناس وحكمة الشعب وتصورهم للعالم والبيئة المحيطة بهم والذي يعرف بالفولكلور، وهذا يختص بقطاع معين من الثقافة التقليدية أو الشعبية...والتراث الشعبي الكويتي، مثل سائر تراث الشعوب العربية، يعكس الكثير من حياة الشعب وأفكاره وأحاسيسه وحاجاته، وهمومه وآماله، ويتفق بأساسياته مع تراث الأمة العربية في أرجاء الوطن العربي لكونه تراث أمة واحدة، وأن تنوعت مظاهره بسبب البيئة والموقع الجغرافي، إلا أن هذا التراث يلتقي في النهاية في إطار ثقافة مشتركة ومعتقدات متماثلة إلى حد كبير. فتميزت الكويت بتنوع ثقافتها من معتقدات وقصص وأساطير تخص أهل البحر وأهل البادية وعادات وتقاليد شعبية توارثتها الأجيال تعكس طبيعة المجتمع، فهناك ثقافة تراثية خاصة لأهل مدينة الكويت وأخرى لأهل البادية وكلاهما التقوا تحت مسمى الفولكلور الكويتي...أما الشق المادي يتناول إسهامات الإنسان في الفنون التطبيقية والصناعات ذات القيمة الثقافية والتاريخية، ومع تعاقب الأجيال والتحديات التي يشهدها العالم الآن من خلال انفتاح العالم وتداخل الثقافات ""فمن الضروري تسجيل ملامح ومقومات ثقافة البادية كونها جزءا أساسيا وجوهريا من الثقافة العربية بطريقة محكمة دقيقة تحفظها للأجيال القادمة، حتى يتعرفوا منها على جانب مهم من التراث القومي الذي يظل حيا ومؤثرا في حياتهم وقيمهم رغم كل ما يطرأ عليه من تغيرات للحفاظ على هويتنا وتقاليدنا وموروثنا والحفاظ على الترابط الاجتماعي لبناء سد منيع قادر على مواجهة مختلف التغيرات فالنسيج الوطني فكرا وعملا وصدقا في الانتماء متلاحم لا ينفصل والفنون الشعبية تنمو بنمو المجتمع نفسه وتزدهر بجهد الجيل الجديد وتظل في نمائها وازدهارها محتفظة بجذورها، والمنسوجات الشعبية لأي مجتمع تحمل دلالات فنية واجتماعية حيث تعد عنصرا مهما من عناصر الحضارة ووسيلة للوقوف على هوية المجتمع وتطوره المادي والحضاري. وتختلف من مجتمع إلى آخر باختلاف العادات والتقاليد والبيئة واحتلت مكانة بارزة في موروث الشعوب فعرضت في المتاحف والمهرجانات."

Kuwait was distinguished by the diversity of its culture, including beliefs, stories, and myths related to the people of the sea, the people of the city, the people of the desert, and the customs and traditions of the people that have been passed down through the generations, reflecting the nature of society. Applied arts and industries of cultural and historical value. And with the succession of generations and the challenges that the world is witnessing now through the openness of the world and overlapping Cultures "It is necessary to record the features and components of the primitive culture as it is a basic and essential part of Arab culture in a precise and accurate way that will preserve it for future generations, so that they get to know an important aspect of the national heritage that remains alive and influencing their lives and values despite all the changes that happen to it to preserve our identity, our traditions and our legacies." And preserving social cohesion to build an impenetrable dam capable of facing various changes. The national fabric of thought, action, and sincerity in affiliation is cohesive and inseparable, and folk arts grow with the growth of society itself and flourish with the effort of the new generation and remain in its growth and prosperity, preserving its roots. And popular textiles for any society bear artistic and social connotations, as they are an important element of civilization and a means of identifying the identity of society and its material and cultural development. It differs from one society to another according to different customs, traditions and the environment. It occupied a prominent place in the heritage of peoples and was exhibited in museums and festivals.
