|a استهدفت الدراسة الحالية التعرف على الأثار الاجتماعية والاقتصادية لفيروس كوفيد-19 على عينة من كبار السن الكويتيين من وجهة نظرهم، وأثر بعض المتغيرات على ذلك، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي، وتكونت العينة من (789) مسنا، واشتملت الأدوات على استبانة تضمنت (35) عبارة موزعة على ثلاثة محاور (الاحتياطات الشخصية للوقاية من فيروس كوفيد-19، والأثار الاجتماعية لفيروس كوفيد-19، الأثار الاقتصادية لفيروس كوفيد-19). وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن كبار السن يتبعون العديد من الاحتياطات الشخصية للوقاية من فيروس كوفيد-19، وأن هناك العديد من الأثار الاجتماعية والاقتصادية لفيروس كوفيد-19 على كبار السن. وأشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات أفراد عينة الدراسة حول الاحتياطات الشخصية للوقاية من فيروس كوفيد-19، والأثار الاجتماعية لفيروس كوفيد-19 تعزى لمتغير النوع، بينما لا توجد فروق حول الأثار الاقتصادية لفيروس كوفيد-19. ووجود فروق حول جميع الأبعاد تعزى لمتغيري العمر والدخل. ووجود فروق حول الأثار الاجتماعية لكوفيد-19 تعزى لمتغيري مستوى التعليم والمحافظة، بينما لا توجد فروق حول الأبعاد الأخرى، ووجود فروق حول الأثار الاجتماعية والاقتصادية لكوفيد-19 تعزى لمتغيري المكلف بالرعاية والحالة الاجتماعية، بينما لا توجد فروق حول الاحتياطات الشخصية للوقاية من كوفيد-19. وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروق حول الأثار الاجتماعية لكوفيد-19 تعزى لمتغير الحالة الاقتصادية، بينما لا توجد فروق حول الأبعاد الأخرى.

|b The main concern of the current study is to identify the social and economic effects of the Covid-19 virus on a sample of Kuwaiti elderly people from their viewpoint, and the influence of some variables on that. The study adopted the descriptive approach, the study sample consisted of (789) elderly people, and the tools included a questionnaire that involved (35) statements divided into three axes (personal precautions for the protection from Covid-19 virus, social effects of Covid-19 virus, economic effects of Covid-19 virus). The results of the study concluded that elderly people follow a lot of personal precautions for the protection from Covid-19 virus, and that there are several social and economic effects of Covid-19 virus on elderly people. The results of the study indicated that there are statistically significant differences among the averages of the study sample individuals regarding personal precautions for the protection from Covid-19 virus, and social effects of Covid-19 virus due gender variable, while there are no differences concerning economic effects of Covid-19 virus. Also, there are differences concerning all dimensions due to age and income variables. Furthermore, there are differences regarding social effects of Covid-19 due to the level of education and the governorate variables, while there are no differences concerning the other dimensions. In addition, there are differences concerning social and economic effects of Covid-19 due to caretaker and social status variables, while there are no differences regarding personal precautions for the protection from Covid-19. The results showed that there are differences concerning social effects of COVID-19 due to economic status variable, while there are no differences regarding the other dimensions.
