المستخلص: This article is intended to show the importance of information and communication technology (ICT) in the teaching and learning of foreign languages and cultures. It is obvious that learning a foreign language is always accompanied by learning the culture. When speaking a language, we often refer to its culture which facilitates the communications with the other. Thus, we cannot speak a foreign language without knowing its cultural reference because the language and its culture are inseparable. But how can you learn a foreign culture without immersing yourself in the society that speaks this language? Technology therefore sees itself playing the role of cultural mediator between the learner of this foreign language and the society that speaks that language. The insertion of the technology certainly has strengths, but it must also have drawbacks that can hinder the learning process.

Cet article est destiné à montrer l'importance de la technologie de l'information et de la communication (TIC) dans l'enseignement et l'apprentissage des langues et cultures étrangères. Il est évident que l'apprentissage d'une langue étrangère s'accompagne toujours de celui de la culture de cette dernière. Lorsque l'on parle une langue on fait souvent référence à sa culture qui facilite les communications avec l'autre. Ainsi, nous ne pouvons pas parler une langue étrangère sans prendre connaissance de sa référence culturelle car la langue et sa culture sont inséparables. Mais comment peut-on apprendre une culture étrangère sans s'immerger dans la société qui parle cette langue ? La technologie se voit donc jouer le rôle du médiateur culturel entre l'apprenant de cette langue étrangère et la société qui parle cette langue. L'insertion de celle-ci a certainement des atouts, mais elle doit aussi avoir des inconvénients qui peuvent nuire au processus d'apprentissage.
