| 520 | |b In this article, we are interested in studying space and exile in the fictional work of Mohammed Dib, choosing If devil wills as an example. This author finds himself shaped, like the majority of Maghreb writers during this period, by taking charge of space in the development of the events related. The spatial component plays a major role in his works where the writer's priority objective is to define the relationship that the character has with his space in which he lives. If devil wants is a novel that represents two spaces, two cultures, two contradictory ways of life. It tells the story of the return of a young exile to the country of his origins and the difficulties he faces, where both countries consider him a foreigner. We propose to study the spaces represented in this novel, showing that space is essential to the evolution of the character. | ||
| 520 | |d Dans cet article, nous nous intéressons à étudier l’espace et l’exil dans l’œuvre romanesque de Mohammed Dib en choisissant comme exemple Si diable veut. Cet auteur se trouve façonné, comme la majorité des écrivains maghrébins à cette période, par la prise en charge de l’espace dans le développement des événements relatés. La composante spatiale vêtit une fonction capitale dans ses œuvres où l’objectif prioritaire de l’écrivain est de définir le rapport que le personnage entretient avec son espace dans lequel il vit. Si diable veut est un roman qui représente deux espaces, deux cultures, deux modes de vie contradictoires. Il raconte l’histoire du retour d’un jeune exilé au pays de ses origines et les difficultés qui le rencontrent, où les deux pays le considèrent comme un étranger. Nous nous proposons d’étudier, les espaces représentés dans ce roman, en montrant que l’espace est indispensable à l’évolution du personnage. | ||
