|a هناك علاقة جدلية بين النص المسرحي والمتلقي؛ إذ أن الاهتمام بالمتلقي قد انعكس على نحو واضح على الدراسات المسرحية، ولاسيما أن المسرح مؤهل لاستقبال مثل هذا الاهتمام؛ نظرا لطبيعته بوصفه فنا مرتبطا أشد الارتباط بالمتلقي، والمسرح هو الفن الذي تتحقق فيه أكثر تلك العلاقة الجدلية بين ما هو (إنتاجي)، وما هو (تقبلي). وقد أدرك توفيق الحكيم أن لعملية التواصل المسرحي لابد من وجود خمس قنوات رئيسة لا يمكن الاستغناء عنها، وهي المؤلف المسرحي، والمخرج، والممثل، والسينوغراف، والمتلقي؛ لذلك عمل توفيق الحكيم على تجسيد هذه القنوات في مسرحه على نحو عام، ومسرحية (أهل الكهف) على نحو خاص.

Tawfiq al-Hakim has been realized that the process of theatrical communication has to be the presence of five main channels cannot be dispensed with, a playwright, director, actor, and stenographer, and the receiver; therefore Tawfiq al-Hakim work to embody these channels in the theater in general, and play (AhelAlcahve) in particular.
